Asil Celik was established in 1974 to produce special and
alloyed steel mainly for the automotive industry, automotive
components, machine tool manufacturing and defence
industries.
The steel plant was put into operations in 1979. Basic
Engineering services and advanced production technology
were supplied by Thyssen Edelstahlwerke AG of Germany.
Ishikawajima - Harima Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. (IHI) of
Japan manufactured the main machinery of the plant. Kaiser
Engineers International Inc. of the US provided consultancy
services.

(especially Russia, Armenia) with a copper content less than
0.25 %.
