Site Coordinator for the Young

Adult Empowerment

Collaborative Position

The Opioid Task Force of Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region (OTF), with the Young Adult Empowerment Collaborative of Western Massachusetts (YAEC) Advisory Council, is hiring a Site Coordinator for the Young Adult Empowerment Collaborative (YAEC) to manage efforts to impact opioid-affected young adults, ages 16-24 years old in Berkshire, Franklin/North Quabbin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties. This position is based at OTF, but is also accountable to the YAEC Advisory Council.

The Site Coordinator is responsible for providing staff support to the Young Adult Empowerment Collaborative of Western MA (YAEC), a four-county, evidence-based collaboration to transform the systems serving emerging adults, ages 16-24 years old in Berkshire, Franklin/North Quabbin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties to prevent opioid misuse, address the needs of young adults currently addicted to opioids, and improve their health outcomes as they transition into adulthood. This position is funded by the Opioid Affected Youth Initiative, a program of the U.S. Department of Justice/Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DOJ/OJJDP).

Free Weekly Playgroups

The Community Network for Children (CNC) will be offering playgroups for children 0-5 years of age in Erving, New Salem, and Wendell during the school year. Come and enjoy stories, songs, and craft activities with your child(ren) and other families and caregivers from your community. Programs are not held during school closures. Join Lynn Harper (Mass Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program) and Dave Small at 2:00 pm as we explore two programs that can help organize your natural history sightings. A brief indoor

explanation will be followed by a chance to try it out in the nearby meadow. Bring a smartphone, laptop, or tablet if you have one. If you already have an Inaturalist or Ebird login, make sure you bring it with you.
