Serve one another through love. Galatians 5:13
Jesus will live in each of the members of His Church. This is the way that the people of this and of all generations to come can meet Jesus: in us, in you and in me! We are the flesh and blood, the bones and skin of Jesus, whose members we are. We are God's planned way of sharing divine life and divine love.
Are we willing to be the hands of Jesus in our little world? How can we serve others this Advent?

Lord, May this candle be a light for You to enlighten me in my difficulties and decisions. May it be a fire for You to burn out of me all pride, selfishness and impurity. May it be a flame for You to bring a warmth into my heart towards my family, my neighbors and all those who meet me. Through the intercession of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary, I place in your care those I come to remember.

LITURGICAL MINISTERS All Liturgical Ministers are asked to block out Saturday morning January 23, 2016 as the date for Epiphany's Annual Ministry Morning. The morning promises to be spiritual, informative and enjoyable. Our annual get together will be to attend the 9:00AM mass as a group, followed by morning fellowship. Afterwards, our favorite pastor Fr. Mike will give an inspirational and insightful catechesis. Following the session, the Liturgy Team is planning on providing attendees a 'thank you' lunch in gratitude for your service to OUR Lord and each other. Please plan on attending as this will satisfy the annual commitment you made last year as a member of your respective ministry. Please check the bulletin in future weeks for more details.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATORS CORNER 11/29/2015
“FAITH TO MOVE MOUNTAINS” UPDATE AS OF 12/1/2015
As of our last tally we are at 85.6% of goal our parish will receive 30% of all monies collected. We will receive this money twice a year, and it will be used to repave our parking lot, fund a Faith Formation program for our youth and adults, and go toward a Capitol improvement Fund for repairs and improvements to our Buildings and grounds.
We have received a few one-time contributions toward this campaign and are very grateful for them. Please consider a pledge or gift. We need $63,925 to reach our goal. It’s not impossible.
“Epiphany is people”, and we have always rallied to the call. Please prayerfully consider this request and help us go over the top. Thank you for your consideration.
***Our Current Budget*** 12/6 = $7364.18 Please try to increase your weekly offering. We had 256 parishioners use envelopes last Sunday. Our Annual Appeal – 2015 Our Goal is $48,000. We have received Pleges totaling $31,360.00 We have received paryments of $30,200.00. This is 65.3% of goal.
ONLINE GIVING With Online Giving you can give wherever you are…you can even set up payments in advance if you like! And when you give online, it helps us make our budget, even when attendance is low. Visit www.churchofepiphan.org for the Online Giving Link. The website is also a convenient place to look up the current Ministry schedule.
We are a tax-exempt non-profit Organization and gratefully accept donations from last will and testament’s and/or stock to assist in carrying out our mission. For more information, please contact Michele at Wells Fargo Advisors (800-533-6163) May God Bless you for your generosity!
“The Tree of Life” Look at the tree in our Worship area. This is another way to perpetuate the memory of a loved one, or to memorialize someone. The engraved leaf costs $500 and a stone in $2500. Both of these can be paid in installments with monthly payments.
“COMMEMORATIVE BRICK CAMPAIGN” Consider purchasing an Epiphany Commemorative Brick for any upcoming Graduation, Wedding or other special family celebration, or a memorable acknowledgement for your loved one. The cost is $150 for a 4x8 inch brick and $200 for an 8x8 inch brick. There are plenty of spaces left. Thank you.
Why Should I use weekly envelopes? The use of envelopes is important, they document your active participation in the faith life of our parish. This information is needed in order to obtain a Letter of Eligibility to be issued when you are asked to be a baptism or confirmation sponsor. This also facilitates the preparation of a statement of contributions for income tax purpose.
If you do not currently participate in our envelope system and would like to start using them, please contact the Parish Office at 732-458-0220 TD BANK: AFFINITY MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM TD us Bank will make an annual contribution to our church, based on the average balance of your accounts: Checking Savings Money Market Certificate of Deposits Retirement All information regarding accounts included in the program is kept strictly confidential.

Gospel: Luke 3:10-18 John the Baptist answers people who ask him what they should do, leading some to believe he was the Messiah. John clearly states that he will be followed by one so powerful that "I am not fit to loosen his sandal strap." “The crowds asked John, ‘What are we to do?’ In reply he said, ‘let the man with two coats give to him who has none. The man who has food should do the same.’… ‘Teacher, what are we to do?’…’What about us?’…The people were full of anticipation wondering in their hearts whether John might be the Messiah…Using exhortations of this sort, he preached the good news to the people.” If we only took seriously the questions posed by the crowds, the tax collectors and soldiers, how different this advent and Christmas would be. We might ask ourselves, what have I done, what am I doing, and be led to decide what I am going to do. Rather than be overwhelmed by the advertising, the commercialism and consumerism which affect us all, be brave, pause and ask the questions posed above. Am I able to give something to someone in need, rather than to one who has no need? Am I able to recognize the Christ waiting to receive my help, through a kind word, a gentle smile or warm embrace?
Can I speak to someone else about my concern for a victim of injustice, abuse or neglect, showing the pity and compassion Christ showed for them at this time when we are told and flooded by others informing us of our ‘so called needs.’ Our thoughts expressed by word and attitude can be the most welcome of all Christmas gifts.
May this third week of advent speak to our hearts.
