Volume 8 Issue 10 October 1, 2015
Dear Friends of the Community Center,
The holidays are quickly approaching and we are thinking turkeys. Last year turkeys given out in the Food Pantry for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays cost over $14,000. We have even more families in the program this year and I have been ad-vised that the cost of turkeys will be higher per pound this year. No turkeys will be available at the Food Bank of Western MA this year.
There will be a Tag Sale on November 7th and the 5K Road Race on Thanksgiving Day to help with the expenses. If anyone would like to rent a table to do their own tag sale, we are renting space for $25.00 per table. Also if any one would like to rent a table with crafts to sell for the holidays, we would be happy to have you.
Please stop by and help us raise “Turkey money” for the Food Pantry.

NEWPORT PLAYHOUSE
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2015
Only $126.00 per person
“Getting Sara Married” Sara Hastings is an unmarried lawyer in her mid-thirties,
much too busy to get involved in romance. Her Aunt Martha has decided to take matters into her own hands and find Sara a husband. Unfortunately, Aunt Martha’s method of doing it amounts to having the prospective
groom bopped over the head and brought to Sara’s apartment. Aunt Martha’s choice is Brandon Cates, a
young man who handles Aunt Martha’s finances. Although Brandon is engaged to be married, this does
not deter Aunt Martha. After being bopped on the head a few times, having a temporary loss of memory and experiencing several instances of mouth-to-mouth
resuscitation and a confrontation with the very angry fiancé, Brandon slowly comes to realize that Sara is really
the girl for him.
