In Memory of Colin Watson

This week we pay tribute to Colin Watson,who passed away after his journey withdementia. Pictured in 1974 in the Top Endwith son Steve Watson (then aged 7) – whois two-time highest fundraiser and teamcaptain in the property industry WipeoutDementia. Steve says the photo, whichclearly shows his Dad’s youthful vitality, is agreat counterpoint to his frailty andconfusion in his later years.

Cycling Without Age with Dr VibekeCatts CHeBA's Older Australian Twins Study Co-ordinator, Dr Vibeke Catts, has joined over13,000 Cycling Without Age volunteersworld-wide in piloting purpose-built trishawswhich provide seniors from MontefioreHome the opportunity to get outdoors. "Theoldest passenger from Montefiore I havecycled with is 102 years,” said Dr Catts.

GP Mental Health Forum CHeBA's Co-Director, Professor HenryBrodaty, who is also Head of the MemoryClinic at the Prince of Wales Hospital, isone of the speakers at the GP MentalHealth Forum, which aims to providepractical knowledge and tools which couldimprove medical services.
