Miss Leonard and the student staff of The

Castle Caller would like to thank everyone

who made this year’s editions a huge success.

We particularly would like to thank the ele-

mentary and middle school teachers who con-

tributed their views and opinions to our articles

and the copy center for their prompt service

on every edition. Finally, a special thank you to eighth grader

Leandris Reyes and middle school

teacher Mrs. Rodgers for taking on

the difficult task of The Class Will.

Without your help, The Will would not

be possible. See you in August!

What Are Your Summer Plans?

By: Pricilla Rodriguez and Joanny Jimenez

This year went by fast and the memo-ries won’t be forgot-ten. Students at HMS are getting excited about summer and are making their summer plans. We asked some students to share their sum-mer plans with us.

Seventh grader, Jasmin Abreu said, “I’m going to have fun partying with my buddies all day.”

Julio Arizmendi, 7th grade, is going to “play football with my buddies.”

“I’m going to Ocean City, Mary-land with the family, “ said Brock

Barcasky.

Seventh g r a d e r , J u l i s s a G a r c i a , said, “I’m going to travel to dif-ferent places and party like crazy!”

Jennifer Alberto, 7th grader, said, “I’m going to DR with my family, going to parks, and seeing all my family members.”

Eighth grader, Br i t tany S l im -

Almanzar said she is, “Going to chill” with her f r i e n d s and is go-ing to the DR and

Florida with her fam-ily.

Lucely Rojas, 8th grade, plans to “make this the best summer ever.”

“I will hang out with my friends and go to amusement

parks,” said Michael Pollock, 8th grade.

Geralyn Marti-nez, 8th grade, said “I’m going to New York and Rhode Is-land and then come back here.”

Finally, 8th grader Pilar Perez is going to New York and the Dominican Republic.

No matter what your plans are for the summer, stay safe and have fun! Good luck to the 8th grad-ers going to the high school next year.

What 8th Graders Will Miss Most About “The Castle”

By: Moriah Graaf and Lauren Merola*

Many 8th grade

students will find it

difficult to go to 9th

grade because of the

attachment they have

to “The Castle.”

Some students ex-

pressed their sad-

ness about the things

they are going to

miss, while others

mentioned some

things they were not

going to miss.

Sandra Cruz is

going to “miss the

teachers” and Leslie

Rodriguez agrees

saying the teachers

here are “awesome.”

Aurora Savadge

said she will miss her

friends. She isn’t

guaranteed to be in

the same classes

with them next year

with all the students

combining from the

other middle schools.

Michael Etzel,

Brandon Anziani,

Jaiden LaRizzio,

and Penelope Guer-

rero have all been

here since 4th grade

when Hazleton Ele-

Middle School first

opened it’s doors in

2007 and therefore

find it hard to leave.

Guerrero said the

school has given her

a lot of memories,

she met a lot of peo-

ple, and took part in

many activities.

Though most 8th

graders will miss cer-

tain things about

“The Castle” there

are students who are

ready to move on to

the high school.

Emanuel Aman-

cio and Melena

Arias both stated

they are ready to

move on. Arias com-

mented, “ I have to

make a future for my-

self,” while Amancio

stated that moving on

to high school meant

moving on in life.

Wilson Soto, Do-

mingo Gonzalez,

and Brianna Corra

are happy to move

on because they

aren’t fans of the

school lunches and

Memories cont.

hope the food is

better in 9th grade.

Delane Hun-

sicker is ready to

move on because “it

is too cramped at

this school.”

Terry Bryan and

Denny Ceballo

simply don’t like

school in general

and therefore won’t

miss “The Castle” or

any other school.

Keefer N. will not

miss it here because

he feels the school

lacks fun activities.

Lastly, Andy

Acosta said he will

not miss it because

he unfortunately has

some bad memories

at “The Castle.”

Whether you are

happy to move on

for different reasons

or sad because you

will miss your

friends and your

teachers, there is

one thing you will

always take with

you - the excellent

education you re-

ceived here.

We hope you

have enjoyed read-

ing all of the com-

ments from your fel-

low students. We

would like to wish

good luck to every-

one going to 9th

grade next year and

to all the 7th graders

for their 8th grade

year! Enjoy every

minute of it because

it goes by fast. Be-

fore you know it,

we’ll be seeing you

at the high school!
