Welcome to the fun, but short-lived lives of Richard. Richard is a bright red ball. Richardbegan life as the bouncing toy of my grandson, Eli. After a snow storm where they live,Ingrid decided to take some shots of Richard as he would provide a delightful pointof emphasis to the snow. My darling daughter was to attend a wedding photographer

conference in Las Vegas and she felt some road trip photos of Richard would brighten thedrive. Fortunately for this Richard, Eli didnt want to share him with his creative and overlyfun-loving mother. By the way, are you getting married? Do you know someone gettingmarried? Do the lucky couple want the best photographic history of their happy day? Ingridis the photographer you need. Are they getting married in 2012? Shes booked for this year.

Ingrid, how shall I put this delicately, is the poster child for the iPhone. The iPhone haschanged my life! is her mantra. She lives on the thing when shes not doing anything else.The camera on her iPhone gets a decathalon workout every day, which she promptlyuploads to facebook or her blog. The furthering adventures of Richard begin when Ingrid,not to be deterred by Elis obstinance at sharing Richard the First, promptly goes out and

buys Richard II.

Getting colder... ...Okay, enough with the tree!

Okay, so Im a little big for Frostys nose. All right. Enough!!

Hey, I could be Frosty the Snowmans nose! This isnt warming my bottom.


3/8Just so you know, heights make me queasy. The green goes kind of nice with my natural colouring.

Hi. Apparently Im Richard II. Am I getting union scale for this?.

It was at this point that Richard must have whispered in Elis ear that his mommy was aninsane, sadistic freak and Eli shouldnt let Richard be subjected to such cruelties. Ingrid,being the loving mother that she is, acquiesed. However, ART requires steely resolve as wellas insane, sadistic and freaky attributes so Ingrid promptly went out and acquired her ownmodel, Richard II. No son of mine, or anyone else for that matter, can stop the progress ofART and FUN! quoth darling daughter.

The snow had dissipated but Mother Nature felt not enough moisture had fallen on the

locale of Grass Valley. Richard II, like his predecessor, fortunately had his own wetsuit. Itturns out he only needed it in an arid environment.

Ooooohhh. Ow, these things are pointy.

Im starting to get a bad feeling about this shoot. Yeah, yeah. Highly symbolic. Get me off this road!

Balancing is not one of my strong points. Um, interference fit means not comfortable.
