JULY COUNCIL MEETING The regular meeting of the City Council of Pewee Valley, Kentucky was held on Monday, July 6, 2015. In attendance were Mayor Bob Rogers, Council Members Henry Walser, Rex Florence,Will Chambers, Norman Schippert, Bethany Major, and Dick Filippini. Also in atten-dance were John Singler, City Attorney and Laura Eichenberger, City Clerk.

Mayor Rogers reported he met with the head oftheKentuckyOfficeofHomelandSecurityinFrankfortwhendeliveringtheCity’sgrantappli-cation. Mayor Rogers attended a meeting with FEMAattheKIPDAofficesalongwiththeCity’sgrant writer. The meeting was mandatory in or-der to proceed with a grant application for Town Square. The Pewee Valley Board of Adjustments & Appeals members will be attending training ses-

sions through the Oldham County Planning & DevelopmentOffice.TheStaterequires8hoursof training.

Resolution: Kentucky Office of Homeland Se-curity Grant - John Singler stated the City must comply with federal guidelines for purchasing. This Resolution authorizes the Mayor to make applicationforand,uponapproval,toenterintoanagreementwiththeKentuckyOfficeofHome-land Security for the 2015 grant application pe-riod. Amotionwasmade toapprove theResolu-tion;secondedandallCouncilMembersvotedinfavor. New Pewee Valley Police Vehicle - Tri-Coun-ty Ford had the winning bid for the purchase of a newpolicepackagevehicle.Theirbidwaslowerthan the State contract rate.

Bethany Major (Festivities/Town Hall/CentralPark/Historical Society): Bethany Major noted theSummerFestival isSaturday,August1st,6pm to 10 pm. Cindy Trujillo, “Designed to a T,” will be catering and Gelato Gilberto Italian ice creamwillbeavailable.

The motion was seconded by Henry Walser and all CouncilMembersvotedinfavor.
