Former site of Michael Reese Hospital, adjacent to the McCormick Place Marshalling Yard, our site is ideally located among Chicago’s finest:

A.  The beautiful lake shore

B.  Art-centric, up-and-coming neighborhoods

C.  Illinois Institute of Technology

D.  University of Chicago

E.  Soldier Field + Chicago’s Museum Campus

F.  Wintrust Arena

G.  Western Hemisphere’s largest convention space,

McCormick Place

H.  Northerly Island

I.  Guaranteed Rate Field (home of the White Sox)

J.  Public transit and major transportation routes

THE VISIONDaniel Burnham’s Plan for Chicago was people-centric, commerce-forward, transportation-friendly and it reclaimed the lakefront for the people.

The Burnham Lakefront is our version of that vision, and we hope its legacy lives on and on. This includes not only being a 100% Net Zero development, but going one step further and a creating state-of-the-art renewable power source for the surrounding neighborhoods and rest of the city to use.

This 100-acre site will be a new urban mixed-use district on Chicago’s lakefront. New streets and active public spaces will create a walkable community, stitching together new office buildings, urban housing and vibrant retail, as well as cultural, educational and civic uses. Three new landscaped bridges, including a central green at 29th Street, will connect pedestrians to the lakefront and become a dynamic, publicly-accessible space surrounded by higher-density workspaces and vibrant street life. An improved 27th Street station and a proposed 31st Street station will provide convenient access to Chicago’s transit network. New buildings reinforce human-scaled, sunlit spaces and allow unobstructed views of Lake Michigan. Along Lake Shore Drive, terraced, interconnected buildings create an iconic identity for this highly-visible site. Extending north from a new public park at 31st Street, Cottage Grove Avenue will become the commercial corridor with a variety of retail and entertainment options for the community.
