A brief description of the IT Visit: The students and the faculties were welcomed by Mr. S.H. Abbas Mehdi, Joint Director along with Mr. Swapnil Gajbhiye, Technical Officer. Mr. Mehdi presented the objectives, roles and services of STPI to the young minds to make them aware about the STPI schemes. Mr. Mehdi also stated the mandate of STPI which includes promoting the export of IT software and services in the region by providing: Single Window Clearance to Software Exporting Units. Infrastructure support (Data Communications and Incubation). Interface between Government and Industry. STPI Schemes STP/NSTP/EHTP/IBPS/NEBPS. The students were also demonstrated the live setup at Network Operating Centre (NOC-Indore) which gave an insight to the students about the data centre and services managed by STPI. Mr. Rajesh Behl, Technical Officer explained the live network set up of STPI and clears the doubts of the students during industrial visit. The officials of STPI-Indore encouraged the students to strive for entrepreneurship development through various schemes like Startup India & Standup India provided by Government of India. Mr. Mehdi and Mr. Swapnil Gajbhiye answered the queries of the students pertaining to above schemes and STPI services. The visit was very fruitful as the students learned about opportunities in a new field and career. Aim or objective of the IT Visit : To make students aware about the working of live setup at Network Operating Centre (NOC-Indore) with the data centre and services managed by the STPI (a Central government organization) at Indore. REPORT

The Department of Computer Applications, BSSS, organized an Industrial Tour for BCA and B.Com Computers students at Software Technology Parks of India (STPI),Indore (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India) on 15th March 2018. In all 55 students visited STPI along with Faculty members Ms. Geetanjli Khambra (In-Charge) and Mr. Ashish Jain. The students and the faculty members were welcomed by Mr. S.H. Abbas Mehdi, Joint Director along with Mr. Swapnil Gajbhiye, Technical Officer. Mr. Mehdi presented the objectives, roles and services of STPI to the young minds to make them aware about the STPI schemes. The visit was very fruitful as the students learned about opportunities in a new field and career.
