Message from the East
Message from the East Greetings Brethren;
Last December 10, 2019 even with busy holiday spirit, we initiated Mr. Stephen Rangel and Mr. Lyndon
Lopo. Almost all installed officers occupied their respective offices. WB Melito Camonayan gave the First
degree lecture while bro. Danilo Reyes delivered the charge. After the conferral, WB Camonayan examined bro
Ronald Balicki for his First degree proficiency who passed with flying colors. Our newly initiated bros Rangel
and Lopo observed how proficiency is done and learned what they need to know in order to be passed to the
degree of Fellowcraft.
We had our annual family Christmas party celebration on December 17 which was attended by most
members and their families. Adults and kids enjoyed the joyous festivities. Lots of foods, games, and prizes
were afforded to attendees. WB Herbert “Bud” Howland Jr. was given special mentioned for his unselfish
services given to the lodge as we wished him the best of luck on his new retirement home in Prescott, Arizona
by the end of January 2020.
Our in-coming Sr Warden- bro. Tito Tuazon and our in-coming Sr Deacon- bro Joseph “Jobee” Jovellanos
passed their qualification requirements for their respective offices. Hopefully, by first week of January, the rest
of the officers including the Master-elect will complete their requirements so we can schedule our installation
of officers. Notice will be sent out as soon as the date is available.
Going back to what happened during the 2019 Masonic year, in spite of the shortage of schedule, losing
almost 5 months; we were able to accomplished items that need special attention. We participated in events
that Grand Lodge mandated. I am pleased to mention that 100 % of our officers and some members completed
the Lodge Management Certification Program offered by the Grand Lodge on line. Both the lodge and the Hall
Association are now enjoying the Grand Lodge accounting services through the Intacct.
Although short in time, we were able to raised two brothers to the sublime degree of master mason and
initiated two candidates. Most of our newly raised brothers are actively participating in our degree conferral
showing their desires and enthusiasm to assume more responsibilities in the future.
For all those accomplishment, I would like to thank all the brethren and their families for their patience,
support and participation for a fruitful year. This is not possible also without the guidance of some of our past
masters who are always around to share their ideas and experiences. To my number one critic, my wife of 38
years- Marlene, for supporting all my lodge activities. And most importantly to the Almighty Father, the Great
Architect of the Universe for all the blessing we received from thy goodness. Thank you all.

Hello Brethren;
Wishing you a healthy and wonderful New Year 2020, full of joy, money, and love. I also like to congratulate all
the brothers and sisters whose birthday were celebrated this month and thank all who contributed on decorating,
setting, and executing the Christmas party event. As we all know the New Year is almost here and I have been
thinking about my new year's resolution. Do you want to know what are they? Number one, memorize all 3 lectures
and number two, feed my brothers better food (within the budget). Number two is more attainable.
Well my brothers, stay safe and may the blessing of heaven shine on this your 2020 year.
