Nursing Department Reminders for Healthy Living:
Culinary Services Department:
Happy
Valentine's
Day!
An automatic door opener will be installed on
the door leading to the main floor washrooms.
This will make entering and exiting much
easier for everyone.
Hallway lighting replacement is underway
throughout the tower. Not only will the
lighting improve, Gunter has chosen energy
efficient LED lighting.
12th Floor South awning replacement has
been delayed due to inclement weather. As
soon as the weather improves, the work will
resume.
New paper towel and soap dispensers have
been installed in the main floor men's
washroom. Gunter would appreciate any
feedback on the system at our next Townhall.
Maintenance Department Updates:
It takes a group of kind and passionate people sharing the same vision to build a community as special as
Chalmers Lodge. Daily we witness acts of going above and beyond from everyone who enters our doors.
Kitchen and serving staff put extra effort into preparing, garnishing and serving meals to meet everyone's
preferences; housekeeping staff respectfully clean resident's rooms and make the Lodge sparkle; and
nursing staff respond to the myriad of requests and needs with care and attention to detail. We see
residents helping other residents in the elevators and to a cup of coffee at the Bistro, and reminding each
other when it's time for exercise class. We witness the kindness of residents, volunteers, and staff reaching
out to help brighten the days of those who may be feeling low. The list is endless, but what matters is we
have a community of caring that surrounds each one of us here at Chalmers, and for that, we are grateful.
Above and Beyond...
Live Entertainment is moving from Tuesday
evenings to a weekend afternoon.
Remember, families and friends are invited
too!
Vancouver Theater Sports League is coming
to Chalmers Lodge! Invite your family for an
afternoon of fun and laughter.
The Lodge will be hosting the EcoVillage
Dogs every second Saturday of the month,
and the GreyHaven Birds every third
Saturday of the month, each month for the
rest of 2020!
Vancouver Public Library is always happy to
provide us with books every month: what we
ask is to make sure you sign out what you
borrow, then bring it back to the same shelf
and sign them back in. Your fellow residents
will appreciate it!
