• Have reasonable expectations from the buddy

• Be a resource and provide honest and respectful feedback

• Allocate time and energy

• Help the mentee develop an appropriate development plan

SHOULD NOT

• Dominate the relationship

• Seek out a buddy

• Do the work for the buddy
