Do’s….› Use white or light color bond 81/2 X 11 paper, print on one side› Always provide originals….take plenty to the interview› Use standard fonts(size 11-14) , i.e. Times, Helvetica, or Palatino› Keep it simple and left justify the text› Use bold, underline, italics to stress major points› Be honest› Keep it current–update periodically
Don’ts…› Do not be too wordy, lie or exaggerate› Make sure you have an email address appropriate for business› Do not Include photograph› Do not state personal data like physical appearance, marital status,
etc.› Do not include salary history or requirements

I am writing to introduce myself to you as a student of Intenational School of Design (ISD). I'm responding to you’re advertisement on Monster.com on August 26 for want of a Senior Design Student” for your design department.
As you can see in the enclosed resume, I have a very strong academic background in designs combined with internship in designing drawing rooms and bedrooms. My recent internship at Major Homes, New York, allowed me to further develope and strengthen my designing skills. I have good traning in hands on packages like AUTO-CAD, illustrator and MICRO-STATION along with MS Office Sweet. I believe that I could make a significant and valuable controbution in your firm.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how my education and experience will be helpful to you. I will be contacting you tomorrow morning on phone to talk about the the possibility of arranging an interview. Tank you for your time and consideration.
