"PASS IT ON” PROJECT: Notice to all who are participating in the "PASS IT ON" project
from last year. About a dozen of us signed up to do a picture of a basket and a pot that was passed around. We were to use those
items in our piece, which can also include any other items you
choose. We will be showing that group of paintings, photos, etc.
during the month of September. So, you have a few months to
finish your piece and bring it in for the September hanging.
They will be featured that month along with the Artist of the
Month. If anyone is wishing to join us in this project, please call Le
Voss to get the pot and basket.
Thanks, Le
BOARD & COMMITTEE NOTES
FROM YOUR PRESIDENT: I'm so very excited about all of the activities at the PCAC!! Thanks to Joan Burke, Sue Allen,
Ashleigh Godin and all of the fabulous Art
Guild artists, we are in the middle of a very
successful Spring Show. We have a new Administrative Manager in Pam
Woodhouse. Outreach has found the
"perfect" recipient, who we will meet at the
June General Membership meeting. Marilyne Bartos is gearing
up for another year of Children's summer classes. She is looking
for instructors to teach, so please contact her for your teaching
time. Membership is growing according to Nina Hardison.
John Hufford is working with Comcast to get the PCAC better
internet coverage. I'm sure I've forgotten other things that are
going on, but it's all very exciting1 Thank you all for being a member of the AG and helping to
make our organization one of the best in the state. Keep creating,
Linda Carr, President
REMINDER FROM MEMBER SERVICES: ARTIST BIO FOR MEMBER BINDER: An artist biography is important to you when you exhibit or in
competitive shows. Galleries and patrons like to know about
the artist they are showing in a gallery and the patron wants
information to share with others about the artist when purchasing a piece.
Artist Biography is basically a life story about you, where you
were born, where you studied your craft and your main area of
expertise. It is good to mention the galleries or shows where you
have shown your work. Include any information you think
pertinent to your work.
Artist Statement can be what inspires you as an artist, an
expression of your creative moments and how you come to show
purpose as an artist. Contact information should be included
along with website, telephone and email address. Those of you who have not completed your Bio for the member
binder please give some thought to the information above. If
you have questions or need assistance with developing your Bio,
please let me know via email at [email protected] Nina Hardison, Coordinator, Vice President
