July – Patriotic Having or expressing devotion to and vigorous support for one's country. This theme incorporates artwork (in any medium) that is inspired by your country. National colors, icons and flag could be used as inspiration. Cultural identification could also be an excellent starting point.
September - Women’s Suffrage This theme incorporates artwork (in any medium) that is inspired by the 100th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage (right to vote). Passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote. . Achieving this milestone required a lengthy and difficult struggle; victory took decades of agitation and protest.
November - Fiber Art Exhibit Fiber Art as Fine Art is non-utilitarian work that consists primarily of natural or synthetic fiber or yarn. It focuses on the design, materials and manual labor on the part of the artist as part of the works’ significance and prioritizes aesthetic value over utility.
