Dear Readers:
I hope that you are enjoying your summer and the
Olympics. As you may know I feel that decor items can
make great gifts and make the people you give them to
think you have really impressive taste.
I have created a gift registry to save people time and
money. All you have to do is sign up (click on the
contact us page: The AC Gift Registry) and notify me
with a list of people for whom you want to buy gifts and
I will arrange for you to get them in advance of the
occasion.
Birthdays, weddings, bar or bat-mitzvahs, communions
and of course the seasonal occasions as well. Pick a gift
and I will deliver it to your home or office so that you
can carry on with your day.
Remember, I will add these and future items to my
Pinterest board “Gifts I’d Love to get”. You can re-pin
the piece to your own board and create a catalogue of
gift ideas for easy future reference.
Please feel free to call me at (604) 351-9251 or email me
Sincerely,
Elliot J. Nitkin

18 Karat – An Introduction
Vancouver, Canada based 18KARAT is a design, import and retail company specializing in contemporary interior design accessories and furniture. Our products are sold to retail stores, interior designers and architects throughout North America and the world. From handmade objects inspired by nature, to minimalist furniture made from elemental materials, our mandate is to balance functionality with beauty.
We follow a simple, modern design philosophy.
We create places that are peaceful and an antidote to the
hype and over-stimulation of our daily lives. We have a
reverence for the wonder of nature and it shows in our
products and presentations. We believe in sensual,
natural and comfortable places that are not ostentatious,
and we believe that everyone–from the most humble to
the most wealthy – should live with thoughtful,
respectful and beautiful things.

Even the totally practical can have some artistic
value. It would look great on a kitchen shelf until it
is ready to be used. This piece by Alessi is $70.00
