Announcement on the campus in December by "The Daily Collegian" read, "The Senate Committeeon student affairs has approved thechartering of a social club whichwould eventually become a chapterof Alpha Rho Chi, national professional and social arehitectural fr,aternity.
"The club will be known as theVitruvius Architectural 'Society forthe two-year probationary peri~d required by the University.~·* ** **
"A spokesman for the Vitruviusgroup, which petitioned the Universary Dec. 2 for permission to organize, said the social group would bechartered for the benefit of fine artsand architecture maj ors. These student would eompose 80 per cent ofthe membership, he said."

He has practiced inRichmond since 1930, specializing incommercial buildings and theatres.
