Education at the Arboretum

Visitors can learn a lot by spending time in our gardens. Formal education opportunities are offered through our Adult Education class series and our Youth Education program, which offers field trips for Forsyth County students. Education is under the direction of N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, and organized in partnership with Extension Master Gardener Volunteers. Highlights of the Arboretum

There’s a lot to take in during your visit to our gardens. Some points of interest include:

The Bog Garden Visit the carnivorous plants in this area, located within the Children’s Garden. While you’re there, step into the Little Library for more learning opportunities.

The Wildflower Garden See North Carolina native plants growing here. You’ll find a wide variety of shade-loving species. Early spring is the best time to view flowers blooming in this area.
