Pyramids of Giza Pyramid is the signature building of Egypt in the world.

Pyramid is a structure in which Pharaos of Egypt and the people of the elite class were buried as a Mummy.

The Egyptians believed in life after death. They believed that they had to preserve their bodies so they could use them in the afterlife by the process of Mummification.

Slaves were used as worker in the construction of Pyramid. Slaves were the persons who were defeated by the Pharao in the battle.

Great Pyramid of Khufu

( 2900 B.C.) is situated in Giza.

This Pyramid is also known as Cheops’s Pyramid.

The number of stones were used in this

structure – 23 lakh.

In the centre of this Pyramid the grave of Pharao Khufu and his Queen is situated.

It was built by Snefru in 2600 B.C. The Bent Pyramid has two entrances, one fairly low down on the

north side. The second entrance is high on the west face of the pyramid.
