Peter Parker is a teenager in school living with aunt and uncle after his parents died when he was younger. After Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically altered spider, he gains newfound, spider-like powers and ventures out to solve the mystery of his parent's mysterious death.

In this film teenagers are represented as being mysterious as they keep secrets to themselves and try to solve them by themselves too. They also show moodiness by arguing with there parents/carers and find themselves lost into love and hatred.
