STATEMENT OF NEED The objective of the conference is to change the scope of anesthesiology practice and increase knowledge among anesthesia, critical care, and perioperative healthcare providers. This course will address the need for more interdisciplinary discussions of postoperative cognitive dysfunction, operating room efficiency, acute treatment of traumatic brain injury, medical accidents, perioperative blood pressure management, end-of-life issues, and challenges of the morbidly obese patient.
