Fish & Shellfish Immunology (1997) 7, 135 ANNOUNCEMENT The 7th Congress of the International Society for Developmental and Comparative Immunology The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, U.S.A., 21–25 July, 1997 Sessions will include: Immunology of Aging; Genetics of Disease Resistance; Lectin Immunology; Comparative Molecular Immunology; Acute Phase Reac- tants; Immunology of Annelids; Phylogeny of Interleukins; Comparative Immunotoxicology; Immune Responses to Bacteria, Viruses and Parasites; Psychoneuroimmunology; Insect Immunity; Molluscan Defense Mechanism; Phylogeny of Complement Systems; Natural Killer and Natural Cytotoxic Cells; Ontogeny of Vertebrate Leukocytes; and B and T cells and Their Receptors. Plenary Speakers will include: Dr Jan Klein, Max Plank Institute; Dr Louis Du Pasquier, Basel Institute for Immunology; Dr Martin Flajnik, University of Miami; Dr Jacques Charlemagne, University of Pierre and Marie Curie; and Dr Irving Weissman, Stanford University. A special presentation on the history of the Society will be given by Dr Edwin Cooper. Abstracts for oral or poster presentations will be due 1 March, 1997.
