The 7 Best Portable
Bluetooth Speakers

It’s time to invest some money into a nice set of speakers for your mobile device, and seeing that connectors are continuously changing, wired speakers are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
While both AirPlay and Sonos offer some outstanding speakers, we are going to focus on Bluetooth wireless speakers, specifically portable ones. While there are a ton of uses for speakers, we decided to focus on the ones that you could easily bring with you, everywhere you go.

Logitech UE Mobile Boombox
We’re not going to waste any time getting to our favorite pick on the list. After listening to the sound quality produced by this little gadget, you would never guess that it’s priced under a $100.

Carbon Audio Pocket SpeakerThis is easily one of the best tiny speakers we’ve ever used.
It does – and it does a damn good job too.

Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker
We were hoping that the Mini came with a builtin microphone for handling speakerphone calls, but we regret to inform you that it doesn’t.
When it comes to sound quality though, Bose always delivers, and the Mini is no exception.

JBL Charge
The speaker features rubber feet along the bottom end to set up horizontally, but can also be positioned vertically if you so choose thanks to the rubber gasket.

Soundfreaq Sound Kick
Especially considering the Logitech offering can be a bit difficult to get your hands on during the holiday season.
Equipped with full 2.1 stereo sound, the Sound Kick comes with a 3.5mm wired aux input and a rechargeable battery that’s good for up to 7 hours of playtime.

Braven 600 Speaker
Typically this speaker retails for $150, but during the holidays we have seen it going for around 100 bucks, which is definitely a steal. It provides similar sound quality to the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox, but with the added 2hour battery time. So if you can get it at the same price ($100), we say go for it.

Philips ShoqBox SB7200
If you’re looking for a more rugged design that doesn’t compromise sound quality too much, this is a good choice.
While the ShoqBox does have some intermittent Bluetooth connectivity issues along with a Smart Sensor that we could live without, the outdoorsman inspired build of this speaker won us over.
