PRESIDENT’S THANK YOUWow what a Contest! With over 700 entries and over 750 individul performances this years, the 64th Ringwood Eisteddfod really is a massive achievement for all those involved.

Tonight is really the “Showcase” part and a big thank you to all who have come along to the wonderful Karralyka Theatre to experience the talent and enjoy the climax of five weeks of artistic achievement. Thank you to Maroondah City Council for having such a great venue available at a reasonable charge.

The Eisteddfod and Tonight’s Grand Final would not happen without our amazing sponsors. It is two contests. Secondly the Instrumental with five finalists competing for the first prize of $2,000 very kindly sponsored by the Lions Club of Mooroolbark. The skill of performing in contests takes many hours of dedication, concentration and support by the entrants, their teachers and parents. We are very grateful to every entrant for taking the time and effort to be part of the program. More so we are thrilled at the high standard of the entrants this year and hope that the experience has helped “inspire” them to continue performing well into the future.

The 64th Eisteddfod did not just happen. It took an amazing amount of effort from the Committee members, particularly Loraine Baldock, Maureen Milton, Sandra Smart, Mark Dipnall and Judith Lambden. In 2017 a number of new systems were installed to ensure the Eisteddfod will be well placed for the future and special thank you to Glenys, Jill and Monika at Secretariat Stockdale ACS for ensuring the benefit happened this year.
