About FAPS and FAPS PC The Federation of Asian Polymer Societies, or FAPS in short is a federation of polymer societies or chemical societies with a polymer section in Asia. FAPS was established in 2007 with4 Founding Members from China, India, Japan and Korea. To date, FAPS has grown to include 15 members from all over Asia. The FAPS Polymer Congress (FAPS PC) is a biennial scientific meeting of FAPS that attracts polymer scientists, academia and researchers from all over the world. The First FAPS – PC was held in Nagoya, Japan in 2009. This was followed by the second in Beijing, China in 2011 and the third in Bangalore, India in 2013. The 4th FAPS Polymer Congress (4FAPS-IPC 2015) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. About 4FAPS-IPC 2015 Institut Kimia Malaysia (Malaysian Institute of Chemistry), or IKM, is proud to host the 4FAPS-IPC 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 5 – 8, 2015 under the auspices of FAPS. IKM has a very active and strong polymer section, and together with local universities and other polymer-related societies and institutions, we are pleased to bring this important international meeting on polymer science, technology, engineering and innovation to Malaysia. The theme of 4FAPS-IPC 2015 is “Functional Polymers – Advanced Materials for The Future”, It will include the following thematic sessions:

Synthesis and characterisation of high performance polymers Biological, biomedical and environment-friendly polymers Polymeric materials for clean and sustainable energy Advanced multi-technique of polymer characterization Polymer composite and polymer nanocomposite Advances in polymer processing Smart and intelligent polymers Natural and synthetic elastomers Electroactive polymers Lignocellulosic-based polymers Polymeric gel and soft matter Latex chemistry and etchnology Polymer education

Invitation to make presentation at 4FAPS-IPC 2015 Those who are interested to make oral or poster presentation at 4FAPS-IPC 2015 are required to submit a soft copy of an abstract through the 4FAPS-IPC website: www.4faps-ipc.org.my Publication of full Papers Manuscripts are proposed to be submitted to (subject to recommendation by reviewers): 1. Macromolecular Symposia published by Wiley Interscience 2. Malaysian Journal of Chemistry published by IKM Authors have to select the journal for their submission. Those presenters interested to publish their papers are requested to submit soft copies of their papers to rusli.daik@ukm.edu.my latest by October 31, 2015. Format of the paper may be found in the website: www.4faps-ipc.org.my. Registration Those interested to attend 4FAPS-IPC 2015 are required to register by completing the 4FAPS-IPC 2015 Registration Form on the 4FAPS-IPC 2015 website and send it to the 4FAPS-IPC 2015 Secretariat.
