He announced his hoax to the church and the world at a press conference in 1897. Brother Richard Powell will recreate this press conference at the next Lodge of Research and Education meeting at the Trenton Temple on June 11th. Additional details appear below ………………………………….

!!!!! YORK RITE FESTIVALS !!!!!Did you know that in old English Lodges, you were not considered a Master Mason until you went through the fourth degree of Mark Master Mason? Are you interested in working your way to the highest level of the York Rite, The Commandery of the Knights Templar? Here is your chance with three one-day festivals for each of the major divisions of York Rite Masonry. Royal Arch Festival, August 20, 2011 and Council of Royal and Select Masters, October 15th will be held at the Scottish Rite in Bordentown, NJ. The Grand Commandery Festival will convey the Orders of Red Cross, Malta, and Knights Templar on October 29th at the Plainfield Masonic Temple, Plainfield, NJ. Contact officers of the respective orders for information. York Rite is progressive, unlike the Scottish Rite. You must start at the Royal Arch and work to the next level. Here is a

OTHERS A DVD, 20-minute presentation by Masonic Services Association regarding hospital visitation is available from RW George Makanin DDGM or Rick Powell, Deputy Representative, MSA. This is narrated by New Jersey PGM Thomas Dougherty (left) and contains a lot of good, inspiring information about Masonic Services of America. MW Dougherty was dedicated to the work of MSA and his spirit remains an inspiration to all F.&A.M.s.

such as Square & Compass Day and the Jr. Grand Warden’s Reception. The loss of R.W. Brother Stanley Reeck has saddened all who knew him and I hope that this issue of the ARTIFICER helps spread the word of his memorial service to all his friends, old and new, who can attend on Saturday, June 4th. Only a few short days before being called to the Lodge on High, Stanley received his 50-year pin, personally presented by our Most Worshipful Grand Master. There are so many other events in the coming days as well. Of particular interest is the NJ Masonic Wheelchair Track & Field event and many individual Lodge activities and degrees. Several new Masons have inquired about the York Rite Festivals and those who participate in all three Festivals can achieve Knights Templar status before the end of the year. A Murder Mystery night is in the early planning stages. I intend to produce the ARTIFICER through the summer months as events dictate, so keep me informed! Fraternally yours, Rick
