Ken Strassner is an honors graduate (Magna cum Laude) of Yale College (1968) and

of Yale Law School (1974). Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark in 1976, Mr. Strassner

served as an officer in the U. S. Navy, practiced with a Washington, D.C. law firm and

served as Executive Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational

Safety and Health. Mr. Strassner’s legal specialties include U.S. and international

environmental and energy law, product safety matters and occupational safety and

health requirements.

In 1988, Mr. Strassner was appointed Vice President-Environment and Energy,

Kimberly-Clark Corporation, responsible for formulation of corporate policies and

management of the Corporation's technical support staffs in both areas. From 2004

to 2008, Ken served as Vice President - Global Environment, Safety, Regulatory and

Scientific Affairs for Kimberly-Clark. In 2009, Ken became a Senior Associate at the

AHC Group after retiring from Kimberly-Clark.

Skiles Boyd is vice president of environmental management and resources for DTE Energy

(NYSE:DTE), a Detroit-based diversified energy company involved in the development and

management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Its operating units include an

electric utility serving 2.2 million customers in Southeastern Michigan and a natural gas utility

serving 1.2 million customers in Michigan. The DTE Energy portfolio includes non-utility energy

businesses focused on power and industrial projects, natural gas pipelines, gathering and storage, and

energy marketing and trading. As one of Michigan’s leading corporate citizens, DTE Energy is a

force for growth and prosperity in the 450 Michigan communities it serves in a variety of ways,

including philanthropy, volunteerism and economic progress.

Boyd is responsible for managing the company’s environmental issues which include setting

environmental policy, representing the company on environmental issues with the public and in

environmental regulatory and legislative development, coordinating environmental studies and

conducting environmental audits. He manages a department of approximately 70 people. Boyd has

worked in DTE’s environmental department for over 30 years.

Boyd earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental resource management from Pennsylvania

State University and a master of business administration degree from Wayne State University.

Boyd is active on the Environmental Council of the Electric Power Research Institute, the

Conference Board’s Chief Environmental Health and Safety Officers’ Council (Chairman), the Air

and Waste Management Association, and the Business Environmental Leadership Council of the

Center for Climate and Energy Solutions. He is on the Environmental Committee of the Edison

Electric Institute, and on the board of the Council of Great Lakes Industries. In 2015, Boyd received

the EEI Tony Anthony Award for member unity.

Katherine Sierra

Non-Resident Fellow

Sierra’s research covers the international climate change architecture, with a specific focus on the

effectiveness of climate finance. Recent policy papers focus on Green Climate Fund and the ways that

international climate finance can catalyze private investment for low emission and climate resilient

development. She also focuses on sustainable infrastructure and green growth, contributing to G-20

discussions on infrastructure in Africa and on opportunities after the Arab spring.

As vice president for sustainable development, Sierra oversaw the Bank’s global environment,

infrastructure and agricultural activities and led its climate change strategy—including creation of the

$6.5 billion Climate Investment Funds. These funds leverage the private sector in the deployment of

new technologies and support changes in public investment profiles to support green development.

Sierra broadened the Bank’s climate change strategy to tackle adaptation and focus on agriculture,

water, eco-system and urban sectors and the impact on the least developed countries. She was the

Bank’s spokesperson on climate change, and represented it at the United Nations Framework

Convention on Climate Change high level meetings and at the G-8 and G-20 on climate and

environment issues. She is a frequent speaker on the issues surrounding development and climate

change.

As vice president, Sierra oversaw the World Development Reports on Climate Change (2010), Economic

Geography (2009), and Agriculture (2008). She was chair of the Consultative Group for International

Agriculture Research, and led the major reform of that institution which was approved in 2009. She has

served in various executive roles throughout the World Bank, including vice president for

infrastructure and for human resources. Ms. Sierra has considerable country experience in East Asia,

including managing the urban and environment program for China, and in Latin America, focusing in

particular on infrastructure.

Ms. Sierra is an independent Board Director for the Global Infrastructure Hub which was created by

the G-20 to advance public and private investment in infrastructure. Ms. Sierra serves on the advisory

council for the Ingersoll Rand Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability. Sierra is a member of

the Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis Advisory Council and has served on the National

Research Council, Policy and Global Affairs Division Oversight Committee. She chairs the Jury which

awards the World Environment Center’s Gold Medal for Corporate Sustainability Leadership.

Katherine Sierra is a nonresident senior fellow

in Global Economy and Development at

Brookings who focuses on climate change, with

a particular emphasis on the issues and policies

in the developing world. Ms. Sierra has more

than 30 years experience as a development

professional, previously serving as a senior

executive at the World Bank.

John Streur is President and Chief Executive Officer of Calvert Investments, Inc., an investment

management firm that specializes in responsible and sustainable investing across global capital

markets. Calvert serves all types of investors through its family of mutual funds and separate

accounts. He is also President and a Trustee of the Calvert Funds and a Director of Calvert

Foundation and member of its Executive Committee.

Mr. Streur began to focus his energy exclusively on responsible and sustainable investing in 2012, as

President, Director and Principal of Portfolio 21, a boutique investment management firm

specializing in global environmental investing. Previously, John spent 20 years at Managers

Investment Group LLC (and its predecessor), a firm he co-founded and where he served as President,

CEO and Chair of the Investment Committee. John was also President and Trustee of the firm’s

fund family, Managers Funds and Managers AMG Funds. Managers Investment Group LLC grew to

over $30 billion in assets under management and offered investment strategies across global equity,

debt and derivative markets. John has managed socially responsible investments at the request of

institutional clients, including public funds, religious institutions, and college and university

endowments since 1991.

Mr. Streur is currently a Director on the Board of the Environmental Media Association, whose

mission is to motivate the entertainment industry to educate the public about environmental issues

and sustainability through all forms of media. Mr. Streur is a graduate of the University of

Wisconsin (Bachelor of Science, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences), where he also competed

nationally and internationally as a member of the University's Rowing Team and as a member of the

United States National Rowing Team. He and his wife Mary have four adult children.

Mr. Gordon Lambert retired from Suncor Energy on Jan 1 2015. He is currently the Suncor

Sustainability Executive in Residence at the Ivey School of Business and has established GRL

Collaboration for Sustainability as a consulting practice. He is an advisor and frequent speaker on

energy, the environment and innovation. He was instrumental in the creation of Canada's Oil

Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) and in 2014 was a speaker on Innovation and Collaboration at

the World Economic Forum in Tianjin China.

With Suncor Energy Gord served as the VP Sustainability and in 2013 he was appointed

Executive Advisor Sustainability and Innovation where he supported the CEO, senior executive

team and the Board of Directors.

He has 36 years’ experience in the energy sector including 17 years with Suncor, 2 years with

TransAlta and 15 years with Imperial Oil.

He is a current Board member of Alberta Innovates. He also serves on the CSR Advisory

Committee to Export Development Canada. He served in 2015 as one of 5 members of Alberta

Climate Leadership Expert Panel to the Environment Minister and the Premier and in 2016 he

Chaired the Alberta Climate Leadership Task Force on Technology and Innovation.

Previously, Bruce leveraged his unusual blend of business, environmental and legal expertise to help

integrate sustainability strategy into Applied Materials' worldwide operations. Among other efforts, Bruce

created a safety culture initiative that helped reduce injury rates continuously over a seven-year timeframe.

He developed Applied's high-level sustainability policy and guiding principles, published the company's

first non-financial external reports, initiated an award-winning product energy efficiency strategy and led

the formation of a social and environmental supply chain program. A highly effective communicator and

team leader, Bruce served as the principal spokesperson for Applied's sustainability programs and played a

key role in numerous industry and professional development efforts.

Prior to joining Applied Materials, Bruce had a distinguished legal career in public and private practice,

specializing in environmental and natural resources law. Bruce began his legal career as a California

Deputy Attorney General, representing various state agencies, including the Water Resources Control

Board, the Air Resources Board, Parks and Recreation, Fish and Wildlife and others. Bruce also practiced

law for a number of years with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, a top 100 U.S. law firm. Among his

specialties, Bruce was a recognized expert in transactional due diligence. Bruce continues to be a member

in good standing with the California Bar.

Bruce has been active with numerous organizations in leadership roles, e.g. Sustainable Silicon Valley

(Advisor); Silicon Valley Leadership Group (Executive Advisor); Acterra (Board Member); Association of

Climate Change Officers (Advisor); State Bar Environmental Law Section (former Chair and Advisor);

Presidio Graduate School (Expert in Residence).

Bruce received a B.S. from Tufts University and his law degree from the University of California-Davis.

Bruce has also been certified in Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (Level I) by the Sustainability

Accounting Standards Board and as a Sustainability Associate by the International

Society of Sustainability Professionals.

Bruce Klafter is a respected leader in environmental,

health and safety (EH&S) and sustainability circles. In

2013 he joined Flex, a socially-responsible, global leader

in design, manufacturing, distribution and aftermarket

services, to provide strategic direction to the Company's

social and environmental responsibility initiatives. His

role includes regular consultation with senior

management on sustainability and EH&S matters,

including participation in the Compliance Council and

facilitation of the Corporate Sustainability Leadership

Committee (CLSC).

Richard Ellis is the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at the Alliance Boots Group.

Richard has spent the past 30 years working for a range of Companies on all aspects of the CSR

agenda.

The early part of his career was spent in Banking before becoming involved in CSR after the Inner

City riots of the early 1980s. After this involvement he held CSR related positions at HSBC, TSB,

British Aerospace and ran his own CSR consultancy for five years.

In 2003 he joined Boots and became responsible for all the Company’s CSR activities. Following the

merger between Boots and Alliance UniChem and the subsequent Private Equity Buy Out he was

appointed into his current role.

Bill Cobb is Vice President of Environmental Services and Sustainable Development at Freeport-

McMoRan Copper & Gold, the largest publicly traded copper-producing company in the world. Mr.

Cobb is responsible for an annual budget exceeding $300 million and a diverse team of approximately

350 people engaged in:

• environmental compliance and environmental management system implementation,

• permitting and Environmental Impact Statements for new projects,

• life cycle analysis of mining facilities,

• environmental technology development/implementation,

• community/social responsibility and engagement,

• human rights impact assessment and implementation of UNGP

• ethical investor/SRI analyst engagement

• corporate-wide reporting under the GRI, CDP and development of the company’s

annual Sustainable Development report

• management of the company’s efforts on Product Stewardship,

• closure and reclamation of existing mining operations,

• management and redevelopment or sale of discontinued operations, and

• remediation of historic environmental liabilities in 27 states.

Bill Cobb joined Phelps Dodge Corporation (Freeport-McMoRan predecessor) in 2004 as Director –

Environmental Affairs; prior to that he was a consultant for 20 years. He spent 13 years at CH2M

HILL where he served 3 years as Vice President and Global Director of CH2M HILL’s environmental

services to the mining, minerals, metals industries; transportation sector (airlines, railroads,

airports/ports); general manufacturing, and aerospace industries. He also was engaged in environmental

and project development activities with a mining company from 1979 through 1984.

Mr. Cobb is in his fifth year serving on EPA’s Financial Advisory Board.

He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and M.S. in Mineral Economics from

Colorado School of Mines.

Director of Safety and Sustainability

Gabe Wing is responsible for managing Herman Miller’s sustainability efforts, which include

product design, environmental footprint reduction and safety. Mr. Wing has played an

important role in developing Herman Miller’s environmental policies since he joined the

company in 2001. Among his contributions is the integration of sustainable design principles

into the company’s innovation processes. Mr. Wing also works closely with key materials

suppliers to support the development of innovative products that maximize positive

contributions to people and the planet. In addition, he leads CEU-accredited training sessions,

based on the principles of sustainable product design, for architects, designers and engineers.

Mr. Wing received a BS degree from the University of Michigan and an MS from Michigan

State University, both degrees in chemical engineering.

From 2002 to 2010, he was a member of the Materials and Resources Technical Advisory

Group of the U.S. Group Building Council. He was appointed to Michigan’s Green Chemistry

Roundtable in 2008.

Mr. Kevin Butt is the Regional Environmental Director of Toyota’s North American

Environmental Programs. He is responsible for the development of Environmental Programs

and Regulatory/Legislative development for all of Toyota’s North American operations.

Prior to Mr. Butt’s current assignment he was the General Manger/Chief Environmental and

Safety Officer for Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing for all of Toyota’s Manufacturing

operations. Prior to that assignment Mr. Butt was the Assistant General Manager of Body

Production Engineering for Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc., (TMMNA). He

is responsible for Body Engineering for all Toyota’s North American manufacturing operations.

Body Engineering consists of Welding, Stamping, and Painting Operations.

Mr. Butt has served as Chairman of the Association of International Automobile

Manufacturing’s Stationary Source Committee. He has also served in the same capacity for the

Alliance for Automobile Manufacturers. Mr. Butt was appointed by Ms. Carol Browner, EPA

Administrator to serve on EPA’s Common Sense Initiative.

Mr. Butt serves on several boards including the National Wildlife Habitat Council, Newport

Aquarium WAVE Foundation, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation, World Wildlife Fund

National Council, and the North American Great Plains Advisory Board.

Mr. Butt has a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science from Georgetown College.

Michael is the Founder & Managing Director of Global Sustain, an Expert Advisor to the European

Commission on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an AHC Group Senior Associate, a

member of the secretariat of the United Nations Global Compact Network and of the Advisory

Board of the CEO Clubs in Greece.

Michael is a corporate executive with extensive hands-on entrepreneurial experience in

sustainability, corporate responsibility, management consulting, investments and business

information with exceptional communication and networking skills and a demonstrable track record

of delivering sustainability and business development solutions. Michael is an accomplished project

manager, accustomed in working in international and multi-cultural environments, with solid

analytical and quantitative skills and strong synthesis and strategic thinking ability. He is an expert

in representing initiatives in high-profile settings and venues with outstanding stakeholder

engagement skills and the ability to build meaningful and long lasting relationships with clients and

partners.

Since 2006, Michael is the Managing Director of Global Sustain, providing leadership in

sustainability strategy issues, corporate responsibility measurement and reporting, supporting

sustainability activities, assisting companies in improving sustainability performance and

recognition through metrics/indices, awards and initiatives, serving as the critical link for the

formation of external partnerships with NGOs/foundations, think tanks, institutions, governments,

and other businesses to accomplish sustainability objectives. He is also engaged in organising

sustainability conferences and training events and offering practical guidance to companies on the

implementation of responsible investment practices. He presents in international events and

produces international publications on responsible investments, sustainable leadership, innovation,

globalization and other sustainability issues.

Michael collaborates with sustainability driven international organisations such as the UN-backed

Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the United Nations Global Compact, the Global

Reporting Initiative (GRI), the European Commission & Parliament, the Academy for Business in

Society (ABIS), the EFQM, and the CEO Clubs International.

In the past he has held senior positions in a venture capital firm and an investment firm engaging in

business plans for private investments, company feasibility and valuation, business training and

project management. For five years, Michael also worked for the ICAP Group, the largest business

information and consulting firm in South-East Europe, as Senior Manager in risk management and

regulatory compliance projects. Michael holds an MBA and a diploma in Production Engineering

and Management and speaks English, French and Greek.

Matthew Patsky is CEO and a portfolio manager, leading our Sustainable

Opportunities strategy. He joined Trillium 2009, and has three decades of experience

in investment research and investment management.

Matt began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1984 as a technology analyst. In 1989,

while covering emerging growth companies for Lehman, he began to incorporate

environmental, social and governance factors into his research, becoming the first sell

side analyst in the United States to publish on the topic of socially responsible

investing in 1994. As Director of Equity Research for Adams, Harkness & Hill, he built

that firm’s research capabilities in socially and environmentally responsible areas such

as renewable energy, resource optimization, and organic and natural products. Prior to

joining Trillium, Matt was at Winslow Management Company in Boston, where he

served as director of research, chairman of the investment committee and portfolio

manager for the Green Solutions Strategy and the Winslow Green Solutions Fund.

Matt currently serves on the board of Environmental League of Massachusetts,

Shared Interest, and Pro Mujer. He recently served on the board of US SIF and Root

Capital. Matt is a member of the Social Venture Network (SVN). He is a Chartered

Financial Analyst. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Rensselaer

Polytechnic Institute.

Chris has more than 25 years of experience working with companies to help set strategy and improve

processes and systems. For nearly 10 years, Chris' work has focused on leveraging her business acumen

major financial services client. Chris also provides business case and sustainability strategy advisory

services to clients across multiple industries.

Previously, Chris was co-founder and managing partner of a boutique management consulting firm

focused on sustainability, where she drove creative strategies designed to help companies measure and

reduce their social and environmental impacts and effectively communicate results.

Prior to forming her own consulting firm, Chris was Global Managing Director, Strategic Services for a

multinational management consulting firm, where she led the development and expansion of service

offerings, including information management, human capital (change management) and supply chain.

Global Head of Corporate Business

Libby manages Trucost’s North American business, leading the regional team

responsible for Trucost’s programs for Financial Institutions and Corporates in North

America, and is a member of Trucost’s global senior management team. She manages

key accounts and is a strategic advisor to development banks, institutional asset

owners, foundations, and multinational corporations. Areas of special interest include

water-related risks for businesses and investors, carbon accounting in supply chains

and portfolios, and quantifying how environmental risks and natural capital

dependencies affect business value and financial performance.

She has worked for over 25 years integrating environmental information into business

decision-making processes, and has led the development and implementation of

numerous decision-support tools and programs. Prior business experience includes

multi-year assignments on new product development teams commercializing the

launch of greener products and as the environmental manager within a production

facility. An author of numerous articles and frequent speaker at international industry

events and forums, Libby an expert in environmental reporting, greener product

development, and environmental supply chain issues. Libby holds a M.A.S. in Civil

(Environmental) Engineering and a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from the

University of Delaware. She is a licensed Professional Engineer and is LEED AP

accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Sara Osterman

Manager, Health, Safety, and Environment

Sara Osterman is the Manager of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) at Masco Corporation,

a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of branded home improvement and

building products.

Since joining Masco in 2015, Sara has worked closely with Masco’s companies and leadership to

ensure that HS&E practices, processes and programs are effectively deployed across the enterprise

and comply with regulatory and company requirements. She leads Masco’s Carbon Disclosure and

Corporate Sustainability reporting initiatives, and supports leadership in their efforts to implement

best practices and eliminate or minimize HS&E risks throughout the organization.

Prior to joining Masco, Sara held the position of Director of EHS Systems and Compliance at

Masco Cabinetry, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation, for three years. She has also held

environmental, industrial engineering and production leadership roles at Chrysler, Visteon and Ford

Motor Company.

In addition to her more than 15 years of experience, Sara holds a Bachelor of Science and

Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Todd is a creative and driven executive, with a passion for sustaining people, profit, and planet.

Building on degrees in engineering and finance from the U Penn’s School of Engineering and

Applied Science and Wharton Business School, Todd has spent the past 20 years developing

management and technology solutions that bring innovation to performance.

Todd founded Green Diamond to help organizations achieve breakthroughs via the next generation

of business intelligence (BI), bringing people powerful, yet easy-to-use tools to integrate, analyze,

and decide how to maximize return and minimize risk across the balance of environmental, social,

and financial factors that determine optimal performance. In addition to his responsibilities as CEO,

Todd currently serves part-time as the lead for Green Diamond’s team working at the US

Department of State, where he previously served as the Franklin Fellow for Global Sustainability

Reporting to enable the Department’s Greening Diplomacy Initiative (GDI) under Secretary

Clinton and Undersecretary Kennedy.

Prior to Green Diamond, Todd founded and served as Director, COO, and CFO of CadenceQuest,

Inc. He also helped launch and served as Director of Operations and Corporate Development for

Cvent, and was a Manager at American Management Systems (AMS), now CGI, where he helped

build an environmental consulting practice and was part of a team whose work was nominated for

archival in the Smithsonian. His hallmark achievement was Tools for Environmental Management

and Protection Organizations (TEMPO), an enterprise-wide management system for sustainability

that he co-invented and that received the first patent in AMS’s 30-year history.

Christopher Chambers is Director of Sustainability Programs at Freeport-McMoRan Inc. where

he oversees implementation of a global sustainable development framework across the company’s

operations, including independent assurance, related external reporting and engagements with the

socially responsible investment community.

Prior to joining Freeport-McMoRan in 2008, he worked as Director of Investor Relations and for a

Fortune 500 engineering and construction firm where he managed corporate relationships with buy

side and sell side stakeholders. Earlier in his career he held positions of increasing responsibility in

the environmental consulting field where he conducted National Environmental Policy Act related

studies and project permitting for the oil and gas and commercial real estate sectors. Mr. Chambers

has experience managing multi-disciplined emergency response and recovery programs for federal,

state and commercial clients.

He is a two-time graduate of Louisiana State University, receiving an MBA from the E.J. Ourso

College of Business and a B.S. in Wildlife Science from LSU’s School of Renewable Natural

Resources.

Dwight Bedsole, AHC Group Senior Associate and former Business Director for the DuPont

Corporate Remediation Group chairs the “Site Remediation and Risk Reduction” workshop, as he

has done since 2001. The purpose of this workshop is to continuously improve and strengthen the risk

management skills of participants and to evolve a more effective business model for managing corporate

environmental liabilities. Workshops not only focus on best practices and new risk management tools

but identify and assess emerging issues that help to define program strategies. Over the years, it has

transformed to focus on a broader topic range which includes financial assurance, disclosure,

operational/enterprise risk, and sustainable remediation. Participants recognize that in the future there

will likely be a different approach to remediation and to be responsive to an even greater and more

complex challenge they must continuously fine-tune their management skill.

Dwight has presented testimony at state, federal and public hearings, participated in numerous state,

federal, and international industry forums as a presenter and panelist on issues related to Superfund,

RCRA, Cost/Benefit, Tort Reform, Brownfield's, Eminent Domain, NRD, Risk Assessment, Risk

Communication, Contaminated Sediments and Sarbanes Oxley. Dwight has also conducted numerous

industry benchmark studies, served on Corporate Advisory Boards and published articles in LexisNexis.

Before retiring from DuPont in 2008, Dwight spent 40 years in a variety of plant production ,

technical, R&D, project design/liaison, environmental and business management roles. Dwight

participated in the formation and startup of a 100% DuPont subsidiary — DuPont Environmental

Remediation Services (DERS) and formation of the DuPont Corporate Remediation Group. Dwight is a

graduate of Auburn University with a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Economics.

Laura Tankenson is currently Owner and Managing Principal of AB3 Safety, LLC, an

environmental health and safety (EHS) consulting company, offering a full-range of EHS consulting

services including EHS strategy and culture development, auditing and management system

assessments, program development and implementation, and production safety services. Previously,

Laura served as Senior Vice President, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) for NBCUniversal,

where she led the overall development, implementation, and management of EHS programs

throughout the organization. Laura’s global team oversaw all aspects of EHS compliance and

supported all divisions of the business, including Broadcast and Production facilities, Owned

Television and Telemundo Stations, News, Sports, Cable, Television and Feature Production, Live

Theater, and Theme Parks. During her 25+ year tenure, sites and productions across NBCUniversal

implemented numerous “best in class” EHS programs and achieved impressive reductions in injury

and illness rates.

Prior to her Senior Vice President role, Laura served as Vice President, Environmental Health and

Safety for all NBC global EHS operations. While in this position, Tankenson successfully managed

the 9-11 EHS response; anthrax clean up at 30 Rock; and Telemundo and Universal due diligence

and integration activities.
