WELCOME

The Norwegian Society of Lifting Technology (NSLT) together with the Offshore Mechanical Handling Equipment Committee (OMHEC) are again proud to announce the 25th anniversary of the International Offshore Crane & Lifting Conference (IOCLC).

The conference alternates between the “oil capitals” of Norway and Scotland - Stavanger and Aberdeen - these are the most important places of business for the North Sea oil and gas industry and home for regulators, major duty holders, oil and gas contractors, service companies etc.

During the conference, the participants will have a chance to meet and share their experiences with North Sea offshore petroleum regulators, experts and industry leaders from the offshore crane and lifting operations community.

The conference has the goal to cover a wide range of new topics in offshore cranes and lifting technology, subsea and heavy lifting, crane standardisation and regulatory and industry safety initiatives. Participants will have ample opportunity to enter into discussions with the speakers and spend time interacting with companies demonstrating their goods and services in the conference exhibition area.

Why you need to attend the 25th IOCLCYou’ll get the most up-to-date information in the offshore crane and lifting business industry, as well asanswers to all of your crane and lifting questions. Additionally, world renowned crane business leaders,end-users, consultants, petroleum regulators and vendors will all be under one roof, solely for the purposes of learning, exchanging information, networking, see and try new technology and developing long lasting business relationships in order to contribute to enhance safety and improve business.

What sets this conference apart from the rest? This is the only conference with a complete focus on the offshore crane & lifting business in the North Sea and beyond. The conference is not a series of sales orientated pitches, but a dynamic gathering of like- minded people involved in the offshore lifting industry. Our unique blend of presentations, case studies and exhibitions provide you with a unique opportunity to walk away from the summit with all the information you need to get the most out of your daily lifting operational tasks. This conference gives the lifting community the platform that it truly deserves, as it provides many hours of dedicated networking time for you to talk openly with your peers, suppliers and customers, and the opportunity to conduct business face-to-face.

Welcome to Aberdeen!

GENERAL AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION

GENERAL AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The venueTECA (The Event Complex Aberdeen) is a brand-new state-of-the-art conference and exhibition venue located close to Aberdeen International Air-port, offering first class conference and exhibition facilities for exhibitors and delegates both to enjoy. Bus routes are located throughout the site to facili-tate convenient access for delegates and exhibitors to and from the City Centre and Airport. In addition, there are walking and cycling routes, encouraging delegates to walk from the close-by hotels.

Elsick is not a castle but has as much drama and history as any baronial building. It has been in the hands of the Bannerman family since 1367. The family has owned the house and estate continuously, apart from a period after the 1745 Jacobite rebellion, when they found themselves on the wrong side. They were originally the carriers of the royal standard in the 10th and 11th centuries and continued to be an important family within North Eastern Scotland, owning properties in Ellon and West of Aberdeen in addition to their seat at Elsick. A baronetcy was awarded to Alexander Bannerman of Elsick by Charles II.

For delegates joining the Conference Dinner they can look forward to a dinner event to be remembered – we will enjoy a supreme meal and entertainment with a traditional Scottish flavour to it. There will be plenty of opportunity to socialise and network in the beautiful surroundings, and we strongly recommend joining – please note there is a limited number of seats available.

Elsick HouseConference Dinner at Elsick House, April 21st. Bus at 18:30, dinner at 19:30.
