The 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit Witnessed High-Level Business Deals The 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit was held on October 21 st - 22 nd 2015 at WOW Convention Center with the participation of 36 companies. Visited by 1,306 potential robot investors from 41 different sectors, the exhibition witnessed high level business deals. Covering positive and negative opinions of all exhibitors without any exaggeration and unreal information, this study gives you the experiences of visitors and the reasons of potential investors who were registered but did not visit the organization. The number of ST Exhibitions, which we will keep organizing in an “absolute benefit oriented” manner for exhibitors as well as visitors, will be increased to 3 in 2016 and 4 in 2017. MANUFACTURERS VISITED FROM 6 REGIONS OF TURKEY The 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit brought together the businesspeople from different regions of Turkey. There were 686 visitors on the first day and 610 visitors on the second. In total, 1,306 people visited the exhibition. Visitor breakdown of the organization, which witnessed the visit of potential investors from 41 different sectors, was 78% from Marmara Region, 12% from Aegean Region, 5% from Central Anatolia Region, 2% from Mediterranean Region, 1% from Black Sea Region and 1% from Eastern Anatolia Region. The remaining 1% was the foreign visitors.

The 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit was held on October 21st - 22nd 2015 at WOW Convention Center with the participation of 36 companies. Visited by 1,306 potential robot investors from 41 different sectors, the exhibition witnessed high level business deals.

Covering positive and negative opinions of all exhibitors without any exaggeration and unreal information, this study gives you the experiences of visitors and the reasons of potential investors who were registered but did not visit the organization. The number of ST Exhibitions, which we will keep organizing in an “absolute benefit oriented” manner for exhibitors as well as visitors, will be increased to 3 in 2016 and 4 in 2017. Here are all details of 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit 2015, the first of ST Exhibitions... MANUFACTURERS VISITED FROM 6 REGIONS OF TURKEY The 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit brought together the businesspeople from different regions of Turkey. There were 686 visitors on the first day and 610 visitors on the second. In total, 1,306 people visited the exhibition. Visitor breakdown of the organization, which witnessed the visit of potential investors from 41 different sectors, was 78% from Marmara Region, 12% from Aegean Region, 5% from Central Anatolia Region, 2% from Mediterranean Region, 1% from Black Sea Region and 1% from Eastern Anatolia Region. VISITORS FOUND WHAT THEY LOOKED FOR Expressing their opinions about the organization, the visitors underlined that they found the answers they are looking for. They also shared their observations about the exhibition and said that there are investments they need to include the budget for 2016 and thus they need to act fast. Another prominent opinion of visitors was that the organization was successful and offered benefits. However, exhibitors couldn’t spare enough time to visitors because the exhibition space was small. Therefore, visitors noted that the space must be enlarged. VISITOR OPINIONS… Eren Gönenli, Coordinator at ANOT ELEKTRİK First of all, I’d like to thank to the organization team. We realized that the target and right audience gathered there to a large extent. In general, we noted during our talks that exhibitors feel satisfied. In fact, the organization was beyond expectations. It’s not the organization’s fault but the preparation level was a bit low considering that it was their first year too, maybe they were not that sure about the organization. Arslan Ünal, Automation Specialist at ARÇELİK As far as I know, this organization is held for the first time. Considering that it was weaker than I expected in terms of exhibitors and contents but it was helpful. We think we can work with a couple of firms on some projects. When it comes to organization, I believe that the organization team was very successful. Umut Altuntaş, Industrial Engineer at ARÇELİK It’s not about the organization firm but it would be more effective for firms to prepare interactive stands where they can display their works, rather than showing existing robots. I hope the exhibition will be long-lasting. Hakan Kahrıman, Facility Manager at ASSAN HANİL We’re pleased with the exhibition and found the opportunity to contact with 3-4 firms to work with and get to know latest technologies. It was good that the exhibition was supported with conference programs. We’re thankful. Bülent Dikener, Production Director at AYGAZ It was a compact exhibition. We found the opportunity to talk with 3 firms on matters we’re in need of. We didn’t have to spend too much time. In general, it was successful. Bayezit Dirim, R&D Center Manager at BAYKAL MAKİNA I visited the exhibition just for a half day from morning to noon on Thursday. I didn’t have the opportunity to participate in sessions. Therefore, I can’t evaluate this part. However, this was the first exhibition but I found it very successful. Majority of robot firms were exhibiting there. Application examples took our attention as well. I heartily congratulate the organization team. I believe that future exhibitions will be more successful.

VISITOR OPINIONS… Sercan Çıta, Maintenance Engineer at BSH Personally, I’m pleased with the 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit. Thank you. Seminar topics and schedule was helpful but something that I agree with my exhibitor friends was lack of robot manufacturers such as FANUC or ABB. I hope we can see these manufacturers next time. Zeki Yılmaz, Welding Method Officer at COŞKUNÖZ In general terms, the exhibition was organized worthy of its name and subject. The firms and visitors conscious, which was helpful for speaking the same language. It helped us meeting with many new firms and increasing the number of our partners. The only negative thing was that limited time was allocated to training or speaking sessions because there were many. In fact, quality and content of some trainings or discussions was much lower than our expectations. Therefore, richness of these sessions in terms of quality rather than quantity will be more helpful and attractive. Consideration of this issue in the upcoming summit would be my recommendation. Kemal İleri, Mechatronics Manager at DURMAZLAR First of all, I’d like to congratulate ST Alternatif Fair Organization for requesting comments on the exhibition through such feedback e-mails. Feedbacks are the most important element of development. I’d like to say that people got they expected from the organization, considering the seminars and its topics. However, there were some problems in the seminar schedule, and presentations were not made within established periods of time. This was really important. As you would agree, when you enter the hall and see another topic is in discussion, this is not something good. Hasan Ahmet Uzunoğlu, Facility Director at ECZACIBAŞI Çine It was a professional promotion and training for us. İbrahim Orgun, Production Director at ELCAB KABLO It was an excellent organization, seminars were also great and I’m currently in contact with 3 firms from the exhibition. We’re making initial negotiations for our production facility. I hope such organizations will be held more. Tolga Beygirci, Production Planning Engineer & Continuous Improvement Officer at ELRİNGKLİNGER We’re very happy with the exhibition. We found the possibility to meet with many integrator firms. As a result of these, we’re now making negotiations for projects we want to invest in. To evaluate the organization from our perspective, most of the exhibitors were experienced in welding lines and packaging lines. Adding firms with robotic assembly experience to next exhibition’s exhibitor portfolio will make the summit more attractive.

VISITOR OPINIONS… Arda Coşkun, Method Engineer at FORD Unfortunately, the summit and exhibition were below our expectations. Since this is a necessary and good organization, I think that it should be organized again next year with some improvements. I’d recommend the space should be larger, there should more stands, and materials should be available to encourage visitors to spend more than 2 hours inside. Mustafa Yuvalaklıoğlu, Robotics Engineer at GE AVIATION I’m satisfied in general. It’d be good if the number of firms specialized in OEM level robots, image processing systems and robotic advanced sensor systems is increased and these firms make more presentations about new technologies. Aslıhan Özdemir, Marketing Communication Specialist at GÜNMAK In general, it was a kind of organization that the sector needs. It was a good idea to have both an exhibition space and trainings in various halls. The visitor profile was found positive by exhibitors that we visited on the first day. They said that their number is lower compared with the WIN Exhibition but the audience was very interested. In my opinion, the main factor that attracted people was trainings. But there were some problems about that. On the first day, there was a high interest on the exhibition but we didn’t observe the same participation in the trainings on the second day. It’d be better if the presentations are not simultaneous. More effective results are possible with some changes. …………………………….. Engin Diler, R&D Manager at HEPER GROUP In general terms, it was a positive organization. We found the opportunity to expand our work. On the other hand, the space was too small and the number of firms was very low at a Robotics Exhibition that I exhibited for the first time. When I talked with the exhibitors, they said that they’re very pleased beyond their expectations, the visitors are conscious and thus requests can be developed into work. Özgür Adaş, Project Engineer at ISUZU I attended 3-4 seminars. Except for Kuka, their preparation was weak and I’d expect that the exhibitors are more excited. There should be more information transfer about new innovations. It should focus on the needs of market, not the students. Stands should be larger. Priority should not be given to companies that will exhibit with brochures only. İrem Emir, Electrical Electronics Engineer – Sensor Sales Officer at İMAJ TEKNİK Organization was very satisfactory. In particular, the seminars were very productive. I’d like to thank for such an organization. We regularly follow up ST Magazines. So we can closely keep up with the organizations of Alternatif Publishing Group. İlker Topka, Technical Team Leader at KAANLAR GIDA We’re very pleased with the organization. There were many firms from the same sector. Therefore, we had talks with firms in different aspects and held meetings about solutions.

VISITOR OPINIONS…

Sefa Kanpara, Operation Engineer at KORDSA GLOBAL First of all, this was a useful exhibition visit for us. We had the chance to contact with some firms. But due to lack of space and high number of visitors, some problems were experienced in communication. The space should be larger. Süleyman Çetintürk, Process Development and Improvement Director at KROS OTOMOTİV I’d satisfactorily say that our visit was very positive for me and my company. As a result of our talks with the firms at the exhibition, we also started collaboration. I’d like to thank those who contributed. Ercüment Bozkurt, Technical Services Manufacturing Technique Division at MERCEDES BENZ In general, the exhibition was interesting and we had the chance to see some different things. The only problem was that the space was very narrow and the firms were jammed. Especially, except for one room, all seminar rooms were small and airless. There could be more exhibitors. For example, I looked for ABB or Dürr. Other than that it was a good organization. Osman Yılmaz, Metal-Mechanics Manager at MERKEZ ÇELİK AŞ I’d like to share that the summit and exhibition was very productive for me and my company. Thanks to the summit, we held productive meetings with some firms about robots and automation systems we’re planning to buy as part of our investment plan for 2016. During the summit, I attended most of the sessions. It was limited in terms of time but effective for me when it comes to information exchange. However, the firms focused more on promotion and this caused a problem in transferring technical details. Also, I’d recommend more quiet and comfortable spaces for bilateral talks. It was a satisfactory exhibition in terms of technical knowledge and documents about the robotics and automation technique. I’m very pleased. I believe that the robot technique will be used increasingly in Turkey with the 4.0 software in the industry. The only thing that bothered us was that the speaker was not at the hall when we wanted to attend the seminar on robot investments in the ceramic industry. VISITOR OPINIONS…

Beytullah Kıran, R&D Assistant Manager at SAMET MOBİLYA It was good that the Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit was organized right to the target and separately from other systems. Exhibitors can directly see what they expect. They don’t have to select from many options unlike other exhibitions. Since it was organized for the first time, participation was not high. I believe that there are more businesses operating or representing in this sector. In the upcoming exhibition, it’d be better for exhibitors to improve the visual aspects with videos or illustration. Gökhan Toktaş, Maintenance Officer at SCATTOLINI OTOMOTİV The exhibition was productive for our firm. I thank all those who worked for the organization. Eşref Sümer, Technical Manager at SÜMERLER MAKİNA We’re producing machine conveyor and automation systems. We visited the exhibition to use robots in automation and get information. Robots are expensive and costs of such investments should be reduced over time. Esra Önem, Automation Specialist at TAMEK Planning and content was really good. We’re thankful to all those contributed. Ali Bilsel, Production Manager at TEKSAN JENERATÖR I’d like to thank to all those who contributed to organizing this exhibition. It was interesting to meet with suppliers, see the technology developed by manufacturers and success of implementing firms in special projects. But I have to criticize something about the conferences. The time allocated to speakers was limited and it was generally about promotion of the firm or product. Therefore, it was something negative to see that there are irrelevant points between the topic and what was actually discussed. Cüneyt Urgan, Factory Manager at TELESET GROUP Our firm decided to improve our automation systems with robot systems in 2016. That was the main reason for our visit. During our visit, we shared our contact details with the firms for adaptation of process to our manufacturing systems and making a cost study. We expect that relevant firms will contact us as soon as possible and thus we will include our investment plan in the budget for 2015 before the end of 2015. Murat Yücel, Facilities Manager at TEMSA GLOBAL It was a very good organization. It’d be better if its scope is expanded and the space is enlarged. In particular, the number of automation firms making robot applications was very limited. The seminars organized and topics selected during the exhibition were good as well.

VISITOR OPINIONS…

Ömer Kutsal, Welding Unit Director at UNILEVER During the exhibition, the robots were more suitable for automotive and heavy industry businesses. We, as Unilever, attended to see if we can find any useful technologies in process or packaging areas (packing or palletisation). It’d be good if the scope is expanded next year.

Tolga Özdenli, Automation and Project Development Manager at VESTEL The exhibition space was small and the company stands were narrow. Therefore, we couldn’t find the opportunity to spend more time with the firms and the works they do. The exhibition could be more interesting if each firm would have 1-2 different applications at least. It should be compulsory for exhibitors to attend with an application, I’m not talking about an exhibition that is big as Automatica. Also, there should be more options for waiting there as well as foods and beverages.……………………………………………….

Onur Yıldızdoğan, Department Manager at WAGO It was a really good organization. I think it should be organized again, for different sectors maybe.

EXHIBITORS ARE SATISFIED WITH THE VISITOR QUALITY Just like visitors, exhibitors felt very satisfied after the 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit. Representatives of exhibitors said that they saw an organization beyond their expectations and pointed out that the visitors were professional and interested individuals. Expressing their plan to exhibit at the Robot Investments Fair in following years after such a successful organization, the representatives underlined that the stand spaces must be larger.

OPINIONS OF EXHIBITORS…

Kenan Bebek, Company Officer at BM MAKİNA 1st Robot Investments Fair and Communication Summit filled a gap considering the importance and feasibility of robot investments in today’s increasingly competitive business world. High interest in the summit and the level of visitor profile supports this argument. From the perspective of our firm, it was a positive organization that is guiding us in this developing sector and enabled us to start serious talks.

Jens Fetzer, Digital Factory Solutions Marketing Manager at CENIT AG We attended the exhibition as firm that offers robot software solutions with a focus on offline programming and simulation. Our target customers are manufacturing firms which need offline 3D software in painting, cylinder hemming, lubrication, arc welding as well as complex 3D operations. We also target system integrators because they need such means to supply automation concepts to end users. We’re very pleased with the quality and quantity of visitors. The entire organization was perfectly suitable for our solutions and technologies. In addition, we appreciated the entire organization including its good infrastructure as it was close to hotels, airport and highway. We already can’t wait for exhibiting at next year’s organization.

Ahmet Erdemirli, Electrical Electronics Engineer at EUCHNER First of all, I’d like to say that we’re happy for contributing to this organization as Euchner Turkey. The visitor profile was suitable for us. Our opinion as Euchner Turkey is that second edition of this organization must be held. Of course, some improvements are needed, especially about arrangement of seminars and presentations. In this debut organization, there were many presentations and seminars within the same periods of time and visitors got distracted because of this. Secondly, the space needs to be larger.

FESTO Marketing Manager Burak Hasçelik As Festo, I would like to summarize our review about 1st Robot Investments Communication Forum and Exhibition left behind under a few headings. Firstly, the fact that you successfully completed a good organization pleased us, as Festo, as well as you. Actually, both the fact that the congress was organized for the first time and your efforts to bring together suppliers and users from within the sector should be appreciated. Especially, we believe that the promotions conducted by the organizer firm, invitations sent and receiving participation approvals by calling invitees individually greatly increased the quality of the participation content and the number of visitors. As Festo, we attended the forum with a stand outside our own stand structure, and as you would appreciate, this situation affected our flexibility. OPINIONS OF EXHIBITORS…

FİKSSAN FİKSTÜR Mechatronics Engineer Merve Levent In the fair, we had the opportunity to meet with company employees from different sectors and to talk to them to do projects together in the future except for those mostly working as the automotive sub-industry like us. In the weeks after the fair, we received feedbacks on project designing from the firms that met with us. The presence of the relevant and competent visitors in the fair pleased us. Therefore, we had an effective and efficient exhibition. On behalf of Fikssan Sanayi, I would like to thank organizer firm that held the fair and all firms and visitors showing great interest to the fair, and we hope to work together in the working life.

GEDİK HOLDİNG CEO Dr. Mustafa Koçak Definitely, I would like to specify that the fair was useful in general. I think the fair was a little bit affected due to the fact that the political situation in Turkey was not clarified to the full extent during the period fair was held, I mean it was the pre-election period. Because these products are the goods of investment and the uncertainties on political issues adversely affect the investment at first, there may emerge some difficulties in this sense. However, we can make a positive assessment in general.

INTECRO – ROBİTAL Project Sales Manager Gözde Parla We hesitated at first about my firm's participation in Robot Investments Communication Forum and Exhibition that would be held for the first time, however the efforts and faith of Alternatif Publishing Group employees convinced us. There were several questions in our minds such as what would be the number of visitors, what was the investment potential of the participating visitors. However, the great interest of visitors and the information given about their investments by obtaining accurate information from conference presentations showed that all our hesitations were unnecessary. It was a well-organized organization despite being first, and the target investors were reached. A larger area can be preferred for the next organizations, and it can last for 3-4 days instead of 2 days.

It was an extensive organization with high visitor potential. KENTTUR MÜHENDİSLİK General Coordinator Can Atacan We believe that 1st Robot Investments Communication Forum and Exhibition was an event with its structure of not spreading over a wide area, unlike traditional fair applications, in which target oriented, well-informed and serious claimants came, and thus, exhibitors could get more efficient feedbacks. We hope this event including only robots and the main automation equipments related to robot will continue in this way without separating too much. OPINIONS OF EXHIBITORS… KUKA TÜRKİYE Marketing Assistant Gülşah Özçelik Robot Investments Communication Forum and Exhibition had a performance above expectations. Exhibitors were mostly qualified and conscious; they had active projects and robot investment potential in general. Its yield was quite a lot due to the fact that the exhibitors were particularly interested in robots. A very useful event took place with a reasonable cost. As a result, we were satisfied and we will participate again. KURŞUNEL KALIP Sales Representative Ufuk Yüksel It was satisfactory to be in an organization that has not been organized so far in which outstanding firms participated. I would like to express our satisfaction due to the fact that qualified firms and the relevant visitors to the same extent came in a short period of time such as two days. The fact that speakers and the topics selected were appropriate and the number of firms accessed indicate that a prestigious and easily-remembered organization was held, I wish you continued success. In the next years, we request a space where we can exhibit our robot projects and we can set up our own stand. It was a very efficient organization apart from that. The participation of many visitors from different industries who considered investing in robots allowed us to see and assess the needs on a sectoral basis. We did not have a problem except for the technical support. NACHI Turkey Coordinator Gökhan Kırmacı Robot Investments Forum was an organization that many people initially doubted about its success due to the fact that it was held for the first time. However, as NACHI, we believed in its success as of the first day in which the idea was suggested. Professional structure of the Alternatif Publishing Group, the host of the event, was the biggest reason for the success. In the coming years, we believe that this organization will turn into a fair concept that will raise awareness of robot in all areas, in which the industry will come together, end users will find suitable solutions for their applications and integrator and project firms will participate as well as robot manufacturers. OPINIONS OF EXHIBITORS… OMRON Marketing Coordinator Güray Yayla Firstly, we can say that it has a high potential of enlivening as it was the first organization specifically oriented to robots in Turkey that we know, it brought together almost all relevant firms in the sector. We wish it to continue in a more organized way. Presentation rooms were well-thought as a concept, we observed that exhibitors did not make adequate preparations, the interest of visitors were sufficient. We could not observe the subjects and visitors that would arouse the expected interest in the organizations held in the main conference hall. There were some organization shortcomings as it was organized for the first time, these are excusable.

ONS MAKİNA Robotic and Automation Manager Ömer Çakıcı As Ons Makina, firstly, I would like to express our appreciation to be exhibitor in 1st Robot Investments Communication Forum and Exhibition. It will certainly make contributions to the expansion of robot investments which has not yet completed its development in our country, and to the technology, advertising and marketing networks of the firms as both exhibitors and visitors come together with the purposes of new investments, business partnerships and so on. OPINIONS OF EXHIBITORS… ROMAK Sales Leader Ezgi Özkan The fair was very useful for our firm. Firms that knew what they want technically and searched for solution visited our stand. Therefore, the needers and the owners of solution came together. It allowed our firm to meet with customers in other sectors in which we did not take part previously. We have continued our communication with customers after the fair. We could have the opportunity to exhibit our robotic applications if we had larger stand area. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC Machine Solutions Business Development Department Officer Mustafa Çelebi Robot Investments Communication Forum was very useful as it focused on just specific exhibitors and it was one subject-oriented. Our supervisors in senior management, our robotic solutions sales engineer friends and our customers are really pleased with the communication and sharing of solutions at this event. We support the organizers firm to organize it again in the coming years. SCHUNK Marketing Expert Pınar Alkan Robot Investments Communication Forum was a positive organization for us in general. Stands were small for the robot installation. We witnessed in 2015 Robot Forum that today, it is being applied in the new markets such as food, plastic, metal processing and electronics outside of the automotive sector. OPINIONS OF EXHIBITORS… SIFF Trade Manager Özgür Yıldız It was an extremely useful fair that allowed our spot welding guns produced in original and high quality standards by our firm for many years to be examined closely by exhibitors and visitors. It was a spot-on location for us to show the advantages of this product group which has been used and attracted attention by the leading firms including automotive industry for many years, I think we did well. I especially would like to specify that we will again participate in this forum in the coming years. Staubli Robotic Department Manager Bahadır Kılıç and Business Development Expert Gizem Güneş Robot Investments Communication Forum provided a single platform for general industry to obtain information about robotic solutions. Firms that did not make robotic investments previously had the chance to participate in presentations and conferences on robotics solutions as well as the opportunity to meet with producers, integrators and other partner firms and to talk about their projects. The fact that the communication campaign reached to many consumers in various industrial and social environments extensively before the organization raised its awareness to very high levels in the first year. However, it would not be wrong to say that the overall number of exhibitors remained below expectations. And, it will be useful if presentations will not be made simultaneously in 2016. ……………………………… SYS ROBOT TEKNOLOJİLERİ Control Systems Manager Ahmet Samim Karkın Although fair presentation was adequate, participation was at medium-level, I think probably because of its first year. The fact that the fair focused on only robots provided a great advantage and revealed a pure user profile. The exhibitor profile was more compatible as the fair focused on only robots. This was also advantageous for the firms in terms of eliminating loss of time and in terms of effectiveness. Appearing as a boutique fair, it strengthened one to one communication with customers as it ensured that robots were directly described for the customer by the personnel. We took our place in this organization as THK due to the fact that we are the supplier of the majority of the leading companies in the robotics sector. We can say that for us it was an efficient fair that we thought it was a successful event in terms of both visitors' characteristics and the number of them. However, we think that and an environment allowing larger sized robots and studies should be provided in the organizations to be held in the coming years. Our Export Manager coming from Sweden evaluated the fact that only those who are concerned participated in the fair as positive. We had the opportunity to get in contact with new firms in addition to our customers we are already in contact. The visitors of the fair were generally related to the subject. WHY DID NOT THEY COME We asked "the reasons for being absence in the fair" to the visitors who enrolled for the 1st Robot Investments Communication Forum and Exhibition but did not come. We asked whether the reasons for being absence were related to the choice of place, asking, for example, "Could you come if the organization would have held in the Anatolian side of Istanbul instead of European side?". When we asked whether they had any proposal for the choice of place outside Istanbul, the responses were as following … WHY DID NOT THEY COME ABC DETERJAN Production Director Although I really wanted to participate (even flight reservation was made), I could not come because I had an unfortunate event a few days before the said date. I and our engineers responsible for automation at the factory would like to join if repeated. However, due to a very important meeting which was suddenly included in the plan, we were unable to do so. There was no problem as to the location of the organization. AK GIDA Purchasing Executive I could not attend since I was too busy. The location of the exhibition is also important. When you get stuck in the traffic of Istanbul, almost all your day is wasted. I need to spend 3 hours at the exhibition; however, I need to allocate at least 10 hours for this event. I hope to see you at the next exhibition.

I would not be able to come even if it was held in Kocaeli. By the way, I think that you can hold this kind of organizations with low number of attendees at 2 hotels, one being on the Anatolian side and the other on the European side (like two phases a year). The training was in İkitelli; therefore, I was also going to attend the exhibition too if the training ended early. I could not attend because of this reason. In fact, since the traffic problem of Istanbul now extends towards Kocaeli, it would not make any difference for us be it Yeşilköy or Kocaeli. I can attend this kind of exhibitions or fairs organized at weekends. However, the Board Chairman of our company attended the organization, and got necessary documents and information. Of course the distance of the organization from the foundation at which we work is also important. Moreover, I realized that ABB robot firm, which has an important place in terms of robotic investments, was not participating in the organization. Considering the fact that there are 1 motoman and 8 ABB robots at the company where I work, this is an handicap. This is my idea. Besides, when we take into consideration the automotive industry, where robots are used the most, it would be very useful if the companies owning the devices (puntagun, welding machine, tourch, gripper etc.) used in this area participated in the organization. HİSARLAR Robotics Engineer I was very busy as it was the commissioning period of the investments we made in our company. I was going to come if I had the slightest opportunity. It would be better if the organization took place a place closer to us. I could not manage to attend this year; I hope I will do so the next time. HKTM Deputy General Manager I would like to state that it was an organization that I felt sorry for not having attended. As a suggestion, it can take place between the hours 14:00 and 21:00. So, everyone will be able to do what they need to at their offices in the morning. Besides, they will not be influenced by the traffic jam occurring at the evening hours.

However, the feedback they provided to me was that the exhibition was rather new, and the serious-experienced participation required could not be ensured yet. I wish you would continue this kind of activities. I suggest that any events to be organized in the forthcoming years should not take place on the same dates with other similar exhibitions. LİLA KAĞIT Production Manager I had included the attendance to this event which was organized in my to-do list very enthusiastically long before. However, I could not manage to attend as our guests from abroad came on the organization day. The location does not matter for us; I can visit the exhibitions/organizations including Japanese firms wherever they take place in Turkey as long as I have time. Besides, it was nice to be informed through journals and e-mail. I think they keep the interest alive and increase it. POLİSAN Project-Maintenance Department The main reason was that something not included in our plans arouse and had to be got done on the exhibition date. In fact, we would have attended if the distance had been closer, and there had not been so much traffic jam. Next year, if the location is closer, we will be able to attend your event in the afternoon even if we have works to do in the morning. PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES WERE CONSIDERED TO BE TOO MUCH! 1. So many radios, TVs, newspapers, journals and digital advertisement channels were used within the scope of the promotional activities aimed at promoting the Summit and Exhibition of Robotic Investments. A major part of the visitors attending the organization made such comments as: "There are advertisements of Robotic Investments Exhibition everywhere. We thought that there would be large exhibition area before coming to the organization; here is not so big." ………………………………………………………………………………….. 45 SECTORAL PRESENTATIONS WERE GIVEN Sectoral presentations and solution shows also attracted a great deal of attention from the visitors of the event. 45 sectoral presentations were given within the scope of the event that lasted two days. In the sectoral presentations performed by the participating companies, the current situation of robotic technologies was shared with the visitors, and answers were sought for the questions of the production industry. While most of the presentations were found to be successful in terms of subject and content, it was expressed that it would be better if technical issues were highlighted further. THE PRODUCTION INDUSTRY SHARED ITS EXPERIENCES In addition to the presentations given by the participating companies, the industrialists using robots in their manufacturing processes had the opportunity to communicate their experiences related to robotic production. During the panels held at the conference hall, officials from the companies Çimtaş, Sarsılmaz Silah, Özbekoğlu, Ankara Seramik, Kale Pres, Orsan Ticari Araç Sistemleri, ORS Rulman and Taşanlar Mermer shared their experiences as well as the advantages they gain thanks to robotic production with the visitors.
