Reno County Fair Board Needs

Your HELP! The Reno County Fair Board is currently looking for potential volunteers to serve as fair board members beginning later this year (October 2016) for a 3 year term. It is expected that we will have 5-6 openings for the 2016-2017 4-H calendar year. The Reno County Fair board is comprised of 12 members who represent different areas of Reno County. (The Fair board consisted this past year of 9 board members.) Meetings are typically held at the Reno County Extension Office on the second Wednesday of each month. One of the major responsibilities of our board is funding the Reno County Fair, which draws participation from the Reno County 4-H Program as well as Reno County residents. Therefore, as a Fair Board member, it is essential that you make every effort to attend each meeting due to the many questions, topics, and issues discussed and voted upon. It is also important that you be present and provide as much support as possible during the county fair. Listed below are some of the major topics discussed by the Fair Board members and decided upon form year to year. *Fair Dates *Daily 4-H Fair Schedule *Judges Fees, Premium Fees *Fair Rules and Regulations *Open Class Events

If you would like to volunteer your time and make a commitment

to be part of the Reno County Fair Board, then please contact

Callie Brawner, current president of the Board by September 7th,

2016. Callie will need your contact information and we will need

your current address so information can be sent to you. You will

need to be present at the annual meeting held in October. Please

call Callie at 620.960.3950 or email at [email protected].
