EPH October UpdateA successful journey towards self-sufficiency, shared by a thankful mom.

“In May of 2017 I found myself in a very difficult situation. I was pregnant with two children, and we were homeless. Frantically I called around for help. I reached out to the Salvation Army, and was moved into a home provided by EPH. After giving birth to my daughter, I found out the father of my children had been incarcerated. During his incarceration he made a decision to make right his wrongs. I made a request to allow him to join his family on our journey towards stability. After careful consideration and an interview, he was allowed to join us. Our family was reunited. During this time, we also paid off over $7,000 of our debt. In August of 2018 we were informed by EPH that their long-term supportive housing program had a house available. Our family moved into that house, and we are on track to sign a formal lease in December. No doubt we would not be where we are today without the help from The Salvation Army and EPH. This partnership made sure my family had a safe and comfortable place to live, as well as the tools and resources needed to accomplish our goals. They did all of this without bias or placing judgments.”

Many thanks to our partnership and affiliate churches for their gifts, talents, and prayers.

Paid and Volunteer Maintenance Staff NeededEPH is looking for both a paid staff person as well as volunteers to help keep our homes well maintained for the families we serve. If you have “handyman” skills, please contact Sue Mills at 920-676-3779. We could use your time and talents!

Prayer requests

Prayer Requests: The printed last name option will only be available to individuals who are requesting a prayer for him or herself and/or immediate family.

“Your Father knows what you need, before you ask Him.” (Matthew 6:8 NASB)

“The end of your praying is not to inform God, as though He knew not your wants already; but rather to inform yourselves, to fix the sense of those wants more deeply in your hearts, and the sense of your continual dependence on Him who only is able to supply all your wants. It is not so much to move God -- who is always more ready to give than you to ask -- as to move yourselves, that you may be willing and ready to receive the good things He has prepared for you.”(John Wesley)
