Operation Christmas ChildOperation Christmas Child is underway! Pick up information in the gathering area. Final drop off is Sunday, November 11. This is great family project and a great opportunity to help those less fortunate, both in the United States and around the world. Follow your box to discover the final destination.

Family Craft Night Bring the family to church on Friday, November 2 for a night of food, fellowship, fun, and crafts. Cross items off your holiday “to-do” list and make gifts for family and friends, or make a keepsake your family will cherish for years to come. Crafting items will be provided or you may bring your own. Demonstrations will be provided. It may be canvas. It may be pottery. It may be other forms of crafts, but it will, without question, be family, food, fellowship, and fun on Friday, November 2 from 5:30-8:00pm. There may be a nominal fee per family. Fall is Upon Us!Our annual fall church garden clean up is scheduled for Saturday, November 3, 9:00am-12:00pm, with a rain date of November 10. The garden clean up times have been a wonderful mix of work and fellowship. Please join us if you can and bring a rake if possible. A lunch will be provided for everyone at noon but you need to RSVP in the YCCOM.

Road ClosuresA race of about 2,200 runners will start near the KI center at 8:00am on Sunday, October 28 and head our way. Roads will be monitored by police with instructions to allow people to get to churches on route BEFORE 8:00am. Race starts, roads closes. This will affect Howe, Madison and Doty Streets, mainly from 8:00am till 9:00am. MONROE Avenue will be business as usual.

Renewal Wednesdays

By the time the midweek gets here, we all need to retreat from the world, recharge our batteries, and prepare ourselves to make it through the rest of the week. Join us on Renewal Wednesdays for fun, fellowship food and growth. It is our time to be with God and our church family. EPH October UpdateA successful journey towards self-sufficiency, shared by a thankful mom.

“In May of 2017 I found myself in a very difficult situation. I was pregnant with two children, and we were homeless. Frantically I called around for help. I reached out to the Salvation Army, and was moved into a home provided by EPH. After giving birth to my daughter, I found out the father of my children had been incarcerated. During his incarceration he made a decision to make right his wrongs. I made a request to allow him to join his family on our journey towards stability. After careful consideration and an interview, he was allowed to join us. Our family was reunited. During this time, we also paid off over $7,000 of our debt. In August of 2018 we were informed by EPH that their long-term supportive housing program had a house available. Our family moved into that house, and we are on track to sign a formal lease in December. No doubt we would not be where we are today without the help from The Salvation Army and EPH. This partnership made sure my family had a safe and comfortable place to live, as well as the tools and resources needed to accomplish our goals. They did all of this without bias or placing judgments.”
