As usual, our most important item is always SAFETY.

SAFETY

Our hardware has a built-in I.D. number which is unique world-wide. We never rely on just software for safety.

The TC5 and the Machine each has an 11 byte 288 bi-directional address. Each radio packet has an 8 Bit CRC check and several other internal checks. We use different Baud rates for different tasks and we encrypt some of the software.

RADIO

We do not use Wi-Fi for both video and remote control. For safety, simplicity and to meet Government regulations we keep our radio control communications separate.

Our radios operate in the 430-460MHz band. the 800MHz European band, the 900MHz International band and we provide Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum for Military applications.

The TC5 has an internal antenna, transmits using less than 10mW of RF Power and amazingly provides a minimum range of 240m Line of Sight.

Our maximum Radio & Video range reaches almost every country in the world.

Wi-Fi

Our Wi-Fi is built into our digital system so unlike our competitors, we don’t need Wi-Fi to be installed in the mine.

We have no problem communicating and exchanging information with any Wi-Fi that is in the mine, however, we keep it isolated so it can’t degrade our AGS system.

SAFE & SIMPLE

Our competitors such as Sandvik and Caterpillar regularly acquire technologies from other suppliers and keep adding them to their existing mix.

We have everything in one package that is so small and simple that customers and competitors find it impossible to believe - until we show them.

We did that for Caterpillar at their HQ in Peoria, Illinois, on April 22nd, 2019.

For Loaders, Rock-Breakers, Block-Holers etc…

Nautilus, weNautilus, weNautilus, weNautilus, we’’’’ve been working on ve been working on ve been working on ve been working on Automation since 1997Automation since 1997Automation since 1997Automation since 1997

Nautilus has been developing their AGS system for LHD’s for a long time. The first semi-automated AGS design was in 1997 at Northparkes, Australia.

In 2000, we designed and manufactured ‘Lucy’ our electric loader to test all of our Radio, Teleremote and Autonomous Guidance Systems.

Lucy is only 1/5th the size of a real loader but she’s fitted with a full size AGS system. For 19 years , we’ve used Lucy and our indoor mine to simplify, improve, miniaturize and test all types of systems.

Our indoor mine has 6 fully equipped Control Rooms with more than 25 Stopes or Drawpoints and multiple Ore-Passes.

Our customers’ electricians, tech’s and operators come here to our indoor mine for full hands-on training in complete safety and comfort.

TC5 or CONTROL – CHAIR ?

The Nautilus Control-Chair that the operator used years ago to remotely control his machine was beautiful, comfortable and popular. However, it was also large, heavy, had to be bolted to the floor and was very expensive.

This large, heavy Control Chair could not be taken underground to test and trouble-shoot the machine so it was not flexible.

Our TC5 plus a luxurious office chair for the operator makes him extremely powerful, very comfortable, completely safe and it has none of the heavy Control Chair’s problems.

The TC5 AGS System is powerful for many reasons, one of them is: in a few seconds the operator can use his TC5 to select and safely operate any type of machine in the mine.

The TC5 lets you have 6 operators (or more) in a fairly small, comfortable room and each operator will be able to control different types of machines in different countries.

These very small, high resolution, colour cameras work well even in very low light conditions.

Cutting or shorting the camera cable will not damage the camera or the VTX5 that feeds it.

This camera is submersible and meets IP68 requirements.

Automated Guidance System

Why would you want a Nautilus AGS System?

AGS will run your loaders faster and more efficiently.AGS will prevent your loaders from hitting walls and being damaged.

Production will improve because your loaders won’t be out of service as often. Your loaders can be operated from a small room on the surface or anywhere in the mine.

Why use a surface control room?

AGS can operate between shifts.AGS can operate just before blasting and almost immediately after blasting.

AGS operators don’t waste time and money going to & from the u/g to get ready to work.

How does Nautilus compare to the competition?

Our installation is the fastestNautilus has the best Wi-Fi videos

Nautilus AGS systems have a lot less equipmentNautilus AGS works better than our competitors’ systems.

The training required to use our AGS system takes only a few hours.
