The sessions may include basic computer skills, Early Years, Phonics and reading. The courses are aimed at providing you with infor- mation, support, advice, activities and ideas so that you will be able to support your children with their learning. The course will be run in small groups and will be an en- joyable experience. (Please refer to my letter dated 30th June). Also, I am delighted to inform you that from September we will have a new School Nurse who will be working within the school to support health related teaching and be available for parents with health related concerns for their children. Miss A Robinson, SENCO Due to the generosity of the SJB Communi- ty (children, parents, carers, grandparents) we are delighted to be able to donate an amazing £500 to charities ‘close to the Heart’ of SJB! Charities to benefit this year: Dravet Syndrome UK, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Action Duchenne and The Legacy Rainbow House. We have also raised over £860 towards the Tanzania Project. Thank you so much for your continued support with this worth- while project. I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy holiday. We are hoping the sun will shine and we all enjoy a well earned rest, returning to school refreshed for an- other exciting year. Miss H Pemberton Building work is taking place over the summer. We are having additional ‘intervention space’ created in the area next to this year’s Year 2 classroom. We are also renovating this year’s Year 3 classroom, including adding doors directly onto the outdoor space. This classroom will be the home of Year 1 in September. Walk to Remember 2015 Well done to our amazing dinner ladies who took part in the 9th annual moonlight walk on Friday 26th June to raise money for St Mary’s Hospice.
