Recept ion RoomsOnce a grand family home, each room within Thainstone House has been restored with love and care.

Each is individual and represents the history and grandeur of the house.

The Ballroom

A grand and tasteful room with charm, the ballroom has bright décor and dramatic chandeliers.

Light floods through the imposing floor to ceiling windows with views

over the gardens. This wonderful room is ideal for a large ceremony, wedding breakfast

and dancing.

The Green Lady

This elegant period style room, just off the main gallery has lots

of natural daylight and views over the gardens. The Green Lady restaurant is our most popular

ceremony room and can also host small to medium sized wedding breakfasts on one large oval table

or round banqueting tables.

Warm and traditional, just off the main staircase entrance, this dramatic room has rich colours, lots of character and two real log fires that bring the room to life. The imposing windows shed in

lots of natural daylight making this room popular for pre-reception drinks or small intimate affairs.

Our planner is happy to recommend one of our local photography partners.

Preferred suppliers:We appreciate that planning the perfect day can leave you feeling overwhelmed with supplier choices.

With that in mind, we have partnered up with the best wedding suppliers in the area to offer you their services at special prices. From hair to cakes, cars to flowers, we can recommend the best in the business.

Guest accommodationWe will reserve 10 bedrooms on a preferential bed and breakfast rate for your immediate bridal party, this price is guaranteed as the lowest available for that night and fully pre-payable at the time of booking with no refunds.

Additional rooms for wedding guests can be booked online at www.crerarhotels.com/thainstone, or by telephoning the hotel directly. Room prices will be charged at the market price and are available in advance on a non-refundable

discount or on the best available price with standard cancelation policy. Children under the age of five stay on complimentary bed and breakfast when sharing parent’s room.

The price for children aged five to 12 years is £15 per night inclusive of breakfast.

Make A Weekend Of ItWe have designed a special offer that is ideal for you and your guests who would like to extend the wedding celebrations

into more than one evening. Arrive the evening before the wedding or stay on and relax after the main event, we can arrange private dining and entertainment if required, and exclusive use of the “Boys/Games Room” on request.

Guests Staying Two Nights or More Will Receive:

Terms and Condit ions The prices in this brochure are valid until the 30th December 2017 and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. We reserve the right to apply an increase to these prices, without prior notification and in the event of unexpected (and rare) events. If booking your wedding two or three years in

advance you should expect that there will be an increase on these prices.

Special offer – 15% offReceive 15% off any Sunday to Thursday wedding. Discount is valid on food, drink packages and room hire, and based on a minimum of 50 guests in attendance. Please note there are selected Sunday and Monday bank and seasonal holidays where the offer is exempt (please ask for details on dates).

Restricted datesThere are certain dates in the year e.g. Christmas Day, Hogmanay and New Year’s Day that will be subject to a minimum spend per person which may be above the wedding package prices on food and drink. If you are interested on planning your big day on any of these dates then please ask for details.

Dietary RequirementsPlease inform a member of our team if you or any of your guests have a food allergy or intolerance. We cannot guarantee that foods produced and served at Thainstone House do not contain traces of other food products.

Wedding PackagesEvery wedding reception at Thainstone House includes reception drinks, wedding meal, drink package and an evening buffet. Thainstone House reserves the right to charge room hire, surcharge or a service fee if any of these elements of a wedding reception is not required. Please ask for full details.

Wedding PlannerOur Wedding Planner will contact you to arrange a meeting approximately eight to 12 weeks prior to the wedding day to discuss your final details. After this meeting Thainstone House will provide a final cost for your wedding, the balance being due in full 28 days prior to your wedding date.

Minimum NumbersWeddings can take place at Thainstone House on any day of the week. Minimum numbers apply based on adults attending the wedding meal. If guests numbers fall below, then a surcharge of the number of adults below the minimum number applies on your menu, drinks package and evening buffet. Minimum numbers: Sunday to Thursday - 50 | Friday - 50 | Saturday - 80

DamageYou are responsible for any loss or damage to the premises or building of Thainstone House caused in the duration of your wedding.

GiftsThainstone House is not responsible for any loss, damage or storing of wedding gifts. You are responsible for the movement and storage of any gifts and for ensuring that they are taken with you at the end of your wedding. Thainstone House is not responsible for any gifts, which are stored in hotel bedrooms or changing rooms.

Food and BeverageNo food products or alcohol may be brought onto the premises and consumed by clients or guests without the agreement of Thainstone House

Provisional BookingsYou can make a provisional booking, which will be hld for 14 days to allow you to coordinate other arrangements. If the provisional booking remains unconfirmed after 14 days we will automatically release the booking

Confirmation and depositsTo confirm your booking the person who is responsible for payment of the final account must complete the booking form and pay a non-refundable deposit of £1000.00 to secure the date. A copy of the terms and conditions must also be signed and returned with the booking form.In addition to the non-refundable £1000.00 booking deposit a further non-refundable deposit of £1000.00 is required six months prior to your wedding date. We regret that we cannot hold a wedding booking if the full deposits are not paid.

Account paymentA pro forma invoice for the estimated cost of your wedding, based on your final numbers, will be prepared and sent out. The full 100% of the estimated wedding balance is payable 14 days before the date of your wedding. This will be the minimum number of guests charged for. Any additional costs will be calculated on the day of your wedding and the additional account is payable on departure. Interest on overdue accounts will accrue at the rate of 3% above the Bank of Scotland base rate from the date the account is due.

Cancellation PolicyWeddings are booked many months, and often years, in advance, if you cancel at short notice it is very unlikely that we will be able to take a replacement wedding booking and in such circumstances the following cancellation charges will apply;Within 32 weeks: Loss of depositsWithin 26 weeks: Loss of deposits or 40% of total estimated value, whichever is greaterWithin 12 weeks: Loss of deposits or 60% of total estimated value, whichever is greaterWithin 8 weeks: Loss of deposits or 70% of total estimated value, whichever is greater valueWithin 4 weeks: 100% of total estimated value
