• Clean up all the garbage and sharp objects around dwellings and along the pathway regularly.

What to do after a flood• Step 1. take care of yourself

– give time to family because the family warmness could treat the emotion well

– discuss problems with friends and family in order to share worrying with them. Doing this could help releasing and relaxing from stressfulness.

– relax and eat the healthy food because the increasing of stressfulness could cause body to be depressed.

– rearrange the necessity thing that should be done earlier or later and then handle those things with consciousness.

– consult the psychiatrist in case enabling to handle with the feeling of depression

– Take care of a child both body and their mind. Moreover, avoid blaming their strange behaviors after flooding situations; for example, peeing over their bed, finger sucking, or always going with parents all the times. It might be because of severe situations they met.

– be careful of sanitation when staying the places that have ever been flooded.

• Step 2 house management the prior thing that should be done in a common situation is to measure the safety before adjusting and living as mentioned below.– adjust the radio and television wave and closely

follow the reported situations– Contact with assurance company in order to

measure the damage and repairing other property

– Survey around the house and determine if the electric wires and gas cylinder wires expressing the smells alarming that there might be blow by. Or if have no small, the house owner should inform the agent with this situation.

– Close the gas valve tightly and should avoid being near the mentioned area in case smelling the blow by.

– Check all the damage of the house: house structure, inside the hose, balcony, and rooftop, in order to make sure that everything is safe.

– Turning off the electric switchboard of the house.

– Carefully walk into the house and do not use the things that can cause fire spark.

– Take photos of the damage to claim the recompense from the insurance against loss (if any)

– Collect the valuable things in the house and keep it safely, especially pictures or significant documents.

– Clean the house, open windows and doors so that to ventilate and to check the strength of every infrastructure construction.

– Renovate all the damaged parts.– Clear away the scraps of branches and all the

filth in the dwelling area.– Check for cracked or leak of water pipes. If it

was not found, turn off the water meter. Importantly, do not drink and cook with water from the tap until you can make sure it is clean and safe.

– Slowly drain the water out of the basement because the water pressure from the outside may cause the cracked in the walls or floor.

– Remove all the sediments that came with the flood in order to avoid bacteria from sediments.
