Message from the Pastor Perhaps many times someone has
come looking for our help and we have felthappy if we were able to do good. Othertimes we may be the ones who have lookedfor friends to help us with our problems, ourworries, and have felt the friendly hand ofsomeone who has helped us.
Once a needy person, a leper, went looking for someoneimportant. The someone was Christ. The leper, full of faith and certain that Christ was more than just a man and that He could helphim, said: “If you wish, you can make me clean.” And Christ, Who isGod and man, saw his faith and cured him. He performed that miracle. How many times could we do this in our lives! We can’t perform physical miracles curing the sick, but we can certainly stretchout a friendly hand to whoever needs help, moral support, or advice. Throughout life there are many opportunities to share, to enrich each other by giving and receiving. We must give the best ofourselves as human beings, as Catholics. And we must accept thegood that others offer us, things that will help us to be happy andto spread happiness and understanding to all the world.
