PADI OPEN WATER SCUBA COURSE - NORMAL SCHEDULE 1
Student responsibilities:
Each Student will provide their own mask, snorkel, fins, booties (felt bottom only for
ocean Open Water dives) & exposure protection or wet suit. You are required to come toclass prepared. Please read your Open Water manual and review the DVD. All Knowledge
Reviews must be answered prior to class. There is a required swim test & 10 minute float
that must be completed to qualify and move on to the dive portions of the course. Please con-tact me if you have any questions.

Sunday 17:00 Shogun Inn Bldg. 328 2nd floor conference room.
Meet at Shogun Inn, issue sizing of equipment for class. Paperwork & Knowledge reviews
chapters 1-3, quizzes 1-3.
Monday 17:00 - 21:00 / Shogun Inn
Class room review & Knowledge reviews chapters 4 & 5, quiz 4 & Final exam.
Tuesday 17:00 - 21:00 / Location Pool TBD
Swim test (200 meter swim, or 300 meter mask snorkel fin swim, students choice) and 10minute float swim. Confined Water 1. Final exam make up if required.
Wednesday 17:00 - 21:00 / Location Pool TBD
Confined Water sessions 2-3
Thursday 17:00 - 21:00 / Location Pool TBD
Confined Water sessions 4-5
Saturday 06:45 - TBD / Location Meet at Kadena Marina - Dive Site TBD
We will meet at the Marina get equipment as needed and proceed to dive site. Dive site loca-
tion TBD, dependent upon weather & sea conditions. Open Water Dives 1 & 2. Studentsshould bring sunscreen, snacks, and water for surface intervals. After the dives are com-
pleted, we will return to the Marina, wash gear & fill out log books.
Sunday 06:45 - TBD / Location Meet at Kadena Marina - Dive site TBD
We will meet at the Marina and head to dive site for the completion of the Open Water Dives
4 & 5 . When we finish, we will return to Kadena Marina and wash equipment, fill out log
books, and complete the final paperwork. Online PICS cards will be issued and can bepicked up on the following Wednesday from the Kadena Marina SCUBA Locker.
