This area includes Bailey. Borden, Cochran, Dawson, Garza, Hockley, Lamb, Lub bock and Lynn counties. All budgets on irrigated crops reflect the assumption of adequate supplies of underground irrigation water to obtain optimum production. All crops except corn were assumed irrigated by sprinkler systems. Most of the com in this area is produced in Lamb and Bailey counties; hence, the budgets for corn are applicable spe cifically to these two counties. The enterprise budgets developed for High Plains III were based on the following assumed organizations.
