Texas Lottery Commission Doubling Down on Daily Pick 3 and Daily Pick 4 Lottery

• Beginning on Monday, September 9, 2013 the Texas Lottery Commission has announced that they will have four drawings per day for these two lotteries, the Daily 3 and Daily 4 Lottery.

• The Texas Lottery Commission is doubling down on their Pick 3 and Pick 4 games making each of them a four-draw-per-day lottery.


• Ever since introducing the All or Nothing Game last year in September 2012, which was originally set up as a four-draws-per- day lottery game, the Texas Lottery Commission saw that Texas lottery players made this game a huge success.


• The four drawings per day were scheduled at 10:00am, 12:27pm, 6:00pm and 10:12pm each day.

• The 12:27pm and 10:12pm drawing times coincided with the current scheduled drawing times for the Texas Daily 3 and Texas Daily 4 Lottery.


• Currently only one U.S. State has a Pick 4 Lottery with four drawings per day.

• That lottery is the Oregon Pick 4 Lottery. Their four drawing times per day are scheduled at 1:00pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm and 10pm seven days a week.

• The numbers are computer generated selections.


• The Oregon Lottery began in 1985 with the introduction of the Scratch-off tickets and the drawing game, Megabucks.

• The Oregon Pick 4 Lottery began with its first drawing on April 24, 2000 as a single-draw-per-day lottery.

• On February 11, 2002 the Oregon Lottery jumped to four drawings per day.


• Now Texas is becoming the second U.S. State that will have a four-draw-per-day Pick 4 Lottery.

• After the introduction of the All or Nothing Game a year ago, Texas lottery players as well as lottery retailers were both very enthusiastic about the All or Nothing 10:00am and 6:00pm drawing times.


• Players took time in their drive home from work to stop at their local retailers to purchase their lottery tickets.

• Texas retailers really liked the additional extra foot traffic to their stores during this time period that wouldn't have come if it hadn't been for the All or Nothing Game with its four drawings per day.


• The Texas Lottery Commission had halted the All or Nothing Game earlier this year to readjust and readjust and control winning payouts for this particular lottery.

• It discovered a payout system flaw that could result in some potential problems that could create a negative financial consequence for the Commission.


• Recently, on Sunday, August 25, 2013 the Texas Lottery Commission resumed ticket sales for its first new drawing on Monday, August 26 at 10:00am.

• Now the Texas Lottery Commission is betting on this new Trifecta of the Texas Daily 3, All or Nothing and the Texas Daily 4 Lottery with their four drawings per day will create a huge payoff for the Texas Lottery.


• The Commission is so confident, they are doubling down on this Trifecta lottery plan of theirs to have the Daily 3 and Daily 4 be drawn four times a day beginning Monday, September 9, 2013 six days a week, Sunday through Saturday.
