Following a wildly successful 2011, Cash Money

is adding to its extensive roster with the signing

of Limp Bizkit. Lil Wayne revealed the newest

addition to the YMCMB team during an interview

on New Yorks 98.7 Kiss FM. An admitted fan of

Lenny Greens classic soul show Kissing After

Dark, the superstar rapper called in on Thursday

night for a brief chat, telling the host that Cash

Money was signing everybody, including, pos-

sibly, Ashanti the R&B star formerly signed to

Irv Gottis Murder Inc. label. Limp Bizkit frontman

Fred Durst later confirmed the news in a series of

tweets to his 1.5 million followers.

While Mr. Wests artistic endeavors of late have

strayed towards the world of fashion, he now

returns to music with the release of Theraflu.

Produced by Hit-Boy, the song showcases Kanye

doing what he does best - flexing his ego and

rhyming with nothing short of the utmost brava-

do. Nearly four minutes in length, Theraflu has

the popular club vibe that is guaranteed to pro-

pel it to the top of charts and onto the turntables

of DJs worldwide, so expect to hear this track a

B iografie: Fly-Bro n artiest die zijn kunst door middel van zijn muziek uitdrukt Fly-Bro ook wel bekend als Lesley Adu-Darkwah (1986) is een Nederlands-

talige MC uit Amsterdam. Voor Fly-Bro staat

MC niet alleen voor Master of ceremony

(Meester der Ceremonie), maar ook voor

musician ofwel muzikant. Ik ben n artiest die

zijn kunst door middel van zijn muziek uitdrukt.

als MC houdt Fly-Bro van bragging and boas-

ting (opscheppen en bluffen), maar meer van

serieuze kwesties in de wereld zoals maatschap-

pelijke problemen. Hij schrijft graag over

onderwerpen waar nog geen nummers van zijn

gemaakt en onderwerpen waarvan mensen zich

bewust zijn, maar er niet bij stil staan. Dit brengt

hij graag over aan zijn publiek met beats waarop

je niet stil kunt staan.

Da Bijlmers Finest, dat recht claimde hij in

2005 door mee te doen aan deze talentenjacht.

Zo won hij in 2007 ook de eerste prijs van Hip

hop clash of cultures. In 2007 wist Fly-Bro ook

zichzelf te plaatsen op de Bolletjes estafette

compilatie cd, onder begeleiding van MC Fit

(Flinke namen), Blaxtar & producer Delarick.

Onder begeleiding van Stichting Twisted heeft

Fly-Bro in 2011 aan het muziekproject Classick

gewerkt. Een project waarbij de werelden van

hiphop en klassieke muziek samen komen. Daar-

bij heeft hij samen met het Almeerse jeugd Sym-

fonie opgetreden in Schouwburg Almere. Hij

speelde ook in de theatervoorstelling Ethnical

File chapter 1, een filmische theatervoorstelling

over de belevingswereld van de jongeren uit de

Bijlmer. Daarnaast wist hij zich te plaatsten voor

de finale van De Grote Prijs van Nederland in

de Paradiso te Amsterdam. Eind 2007 bracht hij

zijn debuut mixtape Sollicitatietape Erkenning

uit. Na de mixtape was het een tijd stil geweest

rondom de Amsterdamse rapper. In 2011 ver-

brak hij de stilte met zijn EP genaamd S.T.E.E.P.

De afkorting S.T.E.E.P. staat voor SollicitatieTape

Erkenning Extended Play en bevat gastbijdrages

van DJ Jane Doe, Statik Music, Ash-Lee, ThePrin-

ceOfBeatz, MVme, Aye! Q, Kady Smooth-Faced

en R!mshot.

This issue is about breaking fash-ion and design rules. What are some youd like to crush? The idea of not wearing brown and

black together seems so dated.

The other day I wore a black T-shirt,

black Nobody jeans, a brown leopard-

print belt by Dolce & Gabbana, and

brown Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and it

looked awesome. Also the rule about

not matching your makeup to your

outfit. I do that onstage, matching

red lipstick to a bright red jacket or

neon-pink eye shadow to a pink

jumpsuit. And I also love to mix prints.

But you werent always a fashion maven? Growing up in Barbados, you were a tomboy. I wore my brothers clothes, dresses with

sneakers, or no shoes at all. I would

always get into trouble with my mom.

She would say things to scare me like,

Youre going to get cut! But I couldnt

help it. I would climb trees, steal man-

goes, catch birds - silly things that

were fun to us at the time. My cousin

and I were the only girls in the group.

We would have to stand up for our-

selves because the guys didnt want us

around.

Your mom owns a boutique and your dad works at a garment fac-tory - Is a Rihanna fashion line in the cards? I am working on that right now. It takes a lot of effort, and I want

to be involved with every step of the

process.

The first time I heard people were

asking for the Rihanna, it was really

flattering and maybe a little strange. It

caught me by surprise, but now I feel

its a very cool thing. I dont feel the

pressure to change it up again at all. I

like it, as they like it.

F ew have made a mark on hairstyle trends, but after Rihanna started chopping her hair into this rocker chic do, ladies have now been requesting the Rihanna. She joins the ranks of Meg Ryan and Jennifer Aniston (who can forget the Rachel?) in the salon hall of fame Funny thing is I know I have heard many of my friends say they were thinking of cutting their hair like Rihanna. Shes definitely leaving her mark on style these days

I say she is, but if shes not today, within time she

will be. No female ever will be able to sell more

records than her, have more singles than her, have

more number one singles than her, have more

awards - no more nothing. She had the most sin-

gles by a female last year. Her accomplishments

are gonna speak for themselves.

What about G.O.O.D Music?Theyre doing what theyre doing too. But I think

Khaled and Rozay are doing a little more. Theyre

a little more active with their acts. I aint talking

about them as a brand, but their acts. You got

Kanye doing him, but what acts do they have that

are active and doing a lot? Im looking at how

much your team is doing.

Heres a drinking game that gets done: Take a

sip of Nickis drink of margarita, for every one

of her recent accomplishments. Solo set at the

Super Bowl halftime show with Madonna and

Minaj nail polish collection. Mattels Nicki Minaj

Barbie Doll. Pink Friday certified double-plati-

num. Youll be under the table before you get

past the last six months.

Nickis growth from mixtapes to main stage is

unheard of for a female rapper. The 29-year-old

Queens MC has stats that that match up more

with 50 Cent than Salt-N-Pepa. The speed of her

rise from Young Money rookie to Fortune 500

trophy has been so fast, it can only be measured

in clicks, retweets, and YouTube views.

Actresses perform Superbass karaoke and

fashion editors fawn over Nickis theatrics.

Legend has it that after hearing Nickis verse

on Monster, one of the songs other MCs

called it the best female rap verse ever. But in

the eye of the storm, who has time to smell the

flowers and check their hashtags? Refusing to

lie back and bask in her success, Nicki keeps her

steamroller full speed ahead, fueled by hard

lumps of coal. While we all debate and discuss

her, Nicki will launch her sophomore album,

Pink. Friday: Roman Reloaded...and her fashion

line...and her fragrance line...and her world tour

- all moving forward with a firm grip on the

steering wheel.

Is there only one direction for her to go?

Shes done everything and shes everywhere

in a time frame that breaks every record,

I happen to be a pessimist, and maybe thats a

good thing because I dont stop to smell the

roses - which is not a good personal thing.

I dont stop and enjoy those moments.

Im just [snaps fingers] on to the next.

Always on to the next and never in the moment.

When youre constantly exceeding your

own expectations, how do you set new goals?

Doing the Super Bowl with Madonna doesnt

really change Nicki Minajs personal goals.

My goal right now is still to put out Pink

Friday: Roman Reloaded, sell five million copies

eventually, and tour every country in the world.

Thats what Ive been working toward. So while

the world is talking about, Oh my God, I cant

believe Nicki Minaj was at the Super Bowl!

Im mixing and mastering my music. In my

scheme of things its way bigger.

Because those surprises cant replace the

things you want to achieve by yourself?

Because my goal the whole time has been for

people to see me as a stand-alone artist. I came

out with Young Money, the biggest hip-hop

label in the world at that time. And then it was,
