MASK MUSE M

www.maskmuseum.co.uk

I hold an interest in the masks of the world. I approached the British Museum Anthropology Department, who have helped with the research that culminated in a series of outcomes for the fictional Mask Museum.

An analysis of London Museums was necessary in order for me to establish the positioning, mission, promise and values of Mask Museum. I concluded that Mask Museum would comprise of the intimate nature of National Portrait Gallery, with the ambitions of The British Museum, whilst incorporating an engaginginteractive element reminiscent of the Science Museum. What I did :

Touring Exhibition.

The 50th Anniversary since the signing of the Treaty of Rome was an opportune time to change negative

attitudes towards the European Union into positive ones. I created the touring exhibition concept, the

name, identity, exhibition format and sourced the content.

The exhibition would reside in major European cities for 3 days and is in the form of a giant Birthday

cake with 50 slices, representing and articulating each achievement. I created the generic poster,

poster campaign, CD-Rom, booklet and party bag, echoing the exhibition content whilst expanding

the audience further.
