Classroom Procedures
• The following slides will be about our classroom procedures which are to be utilized in our class in order to create a more comfortable learning environment for everyone.
• These are not to be confused with rules, which we will review after going over classroom procedures.
• One key thing to remember is this classroom is our second home. Please respect our classroom and all of our classmates.

Cell Phones
• The use of cell phones in our classroom is strictly prohibited.
• Using your phone in class will result in an office referral and your phone being confiscated.
• Students will only be allowed to utilize cell phones at the following times:
• Before 7:15
• Between the times of 11:00-11:28 (Lunch) outside of the classroom
• After 2:15.

Entering/Exiting the Classroom
• We will all enter the classroom quietly and go straight to our seat to begin doing our bell work.
• We will exit the room quietly as well only after being dismissed by the teacher or other adult who may be supervising the class.
• We will leave the classroom in an orderly fashion keeping safety in mind.
• We will observe a strict policy of ”Ladies First” when exiting our class

Sharpening Pencils
• Pencils should be sharpened as soon as you are unpacked and ready to work.
• We will sharpen pencils one person at a time.
• If the teacher is lecturing, you should raise your hand with the pencil to indicate it needs to be sharpened. The teacher will then direct you to sharpen your pencil quietly in the back of the classroom.

Getting out of desks
• We will remain in our desks at all times unless instructed to do otherwise.
• We will be courteous to the teacher or other adults in the class by asking permission to approach them at any time.

Throwing away trash
• We will remember to remain seated at all times.
• Trash should be placed on top or inside the student’s desk until the end of class where it can be tossed in the trash on the way out.

Hall Passes
• Your Hall Passes will be your student agendas.
• Student must have in their possession their own respective agenda to leave the class during class time.
• Students may NOT share agendas.
• Restroom privileges will be allowed only during the last 20 minutes of class and must be accompanied by available restroom breaks allotted in the back of each agenda.
• If you purchase a new agenda during any semester, the new agenda will NOT contain any new restroom breaks included.

Restroom Breaks
• Students are encouraged to use the restroom in the morning before school and between classes.
• Students will only be allowed to use the restroom during the last 20 minutes of class.
• Students will be required to utilize their agenda as a hall pass and must have remaining spaces to initial on the Restroom Pass list in the back of their agendas.
• Students must get permission from the teacher and must acquire a teacher signature prior to leaving the classroom for any reason.

Partner/Group Work
• Group work will be assigned often in class.
• Groups will be assigned by the teacher.
• Students will be expected to participate actively in group assignments keeping the concept of TEAM in mind.

Returning Assignments/Tests
• Tests & other graded assignments may be sent home with students to be signed after being graded by the teacher.
• Students will return signed tests and graded assignments the next day. Failure to return signed documents may result in forfeiture of lunch recess privileges.

Computer Time
• Computer Lab time will be schedules as needed for assignments and learning tasks.
• Students will have computer lab periodically for enrichment.
• All work online will pertain strictly to Mathematics.

Homework / Practice
• Practice work at home will normally be assigned twice a week and will be meant to supplement any work done in class and enrich the knowledge base and skill set of each student.
• Homework will be checked for completion and accuracy weekly.
• Students will turn in all homework for the week on Fridays.
