Literature

Because we lack the time to read and consider many of the great Romantic writers, we will focus on Percy Byshe Shelley’s “Ode to the West Wind” and Walt Whitman’s “Song of Myself”. Read these poems on the following slides.

Other writers of the Romantic period include Goethe, Wordsworth, Byron, Keats, Hugo, Tolstoy, Dickens, and Thoreau.
