Durakar Leadership Day Last week Springdale Heights Public hosted the annual Durakar Leadership Day. This day was represented by the Durakar Learning Community made up of Lavington East, Jindera, Lavington Public and Springdale Heights Public Schools. Leaders from each school came together to participate in various activities throughout the day. They enjoyed activities such as NRL sport with Dean from the NRL Leadership Program, a Leadership video presentation and a guest speakers from Murray High School the Department of Education and a local identity. They enjoyed a wonderful lunch which was prepared supplied by Alison from our canteen. All children were very happy with the day and the chance to meet up with each other—as they will move on together and most likely meet up again when they move on to High School. Each student received a Participation certificate.

HSIE Unit—Familiar Environments Lavington East Public School, Kinder students, visited our school recently to look at familiar environments, as they are learning about Local Buildings and Local Businesses. They had to work out what was the same and what was different about our school compared to theirs. Our Kinder and K-1 students enjoyed playing with their new friends and having lunch together.
