Nambucca High School Transition Day Our year 6 students have come back from their transition day at the High School super excited. All of them have stated that they are eager to make the move to year 7. It was an action-packed day and included Japanese lessons, cooking and a range of other High School activities. Swim & Survive Our swimmers have been heading off daily for their swimming lessons at the Macksville Pool. Teachers are returning each day excited at the constantly improving skills of all participants. We also received lots of feedback on the students’ Safe, Honest and Respectful behaviours. Dear Members of the Nambucca Heads Public School Community,

Student Elections On Friday last week the ballot of students for Captain and Prefect positions was held. All nominees were asked to perform an impromptu speech on the topic ’Change.’ The calibre of nominees and their speeches was extremely high this year. Students in years 2, 3, 4 & 5 were given the opportunity to partake in a genuine election process following AEC guidelines.

Congratulations to all of our candidates and the voters for acting with Respect and Honesty throughout the process. The Badge Ceremony will take place on Presentation Day.

Nambucca High School Transition Day Our year 6 students have come back from their transition day at the High School super excited. SPORT NEWS Sport Choices Stage 2 and 3 This is the last week of Sport Choices. It has been great to hear some many children saying how much they have enjoyed sport this term. 2016 Swimming Carnivals Next year`s School Swimming Carnival will be on Friday 5th February and the District Swimming Carnival will be on Friday 19th February. Partridge VC Primary School. Care is available for all

primary school-aged children from local schools. Children

from working & non-working families are welcome. The

centre is open from 3.00 pm until 6.00 pm, Monday to

Friday. Fees start at $4.81 per child (with Child Care

Benefits & Child Care Rebate). A healthy afternoon tea

is included in the cost. Children participate in fun

activities, sport, craft, games and free play. Casual and

News Flash - Physi is coming to the Nambucca Valley in 2016. Classes will be held on Wednesdays at the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre. Physi fuses dance styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Yoga. It is also a team based sport that’s social and fun. Choreography changes annually and is performed to modern music. Physi is a sport for life with classes being offered to girls from 3 years of age to grand-mothers. So mark your diary with classes due to start early February next year. VALLA BEACH COMMUNITY CARoLS FRIDAY, 11TH DECEMBER 6.00-9.00 pm

VALLA BEACH RESERVE (Lions’ Park)

The Valla Beach Community Association invites you to come along and embrace the Christmas spirit

by joining with your family, neighbours and the wider community in community carol singing. This

event will take place from 6.00 to 9.00 pm on Friday, 11 th December at the Valla Beach Reserve (Lions’

Park). We encourage you and your family and friends to come along at 6.00 pm with your picnic blanket

and/or folding chairs and a picnic tea or you can purchase hot food and ice-cream from the various food

vendors who will be in attendance and enjoy the pre-carols entertainment provided by the Macksville

Primary School Circus Troupe.

Carols will commence at 7.00pm. You will be invited to join in a time of community carol singing as well as

enjoying some light entertainment. The carols will be led by volunteers from the Bowraville Theatre Singers

and the Nambucca Valley Brass Band. Santa will make an appearance and the evening will culminate with

a display of fireworks!

Glo-Candles and Glo-Sticks will be available for purchase at the event and song sheets will be provided.

Make this a date in your diary to get you off to a good start for a great Christmas season.
