Help us to plan for the future

Tell Them From Me Parent Feedback Survey. This Term, our school will be participating in the Partners in

Learning parent survey. Running this survey will help our school understand parents’ and carers’ perspec-

tives on their child’s experience at school including how we support student learning, and behaviour. The

survey is conducted entirely online on smartphones, iPad, tablets, laptops or computers. The survey will

take 15 minutes or less to complete and is completely confidential. The parent survey will be conducted

has been rescheduled to Wednesday 18th November 2020. Only students whose parents have received a

confirmation email from the High Performing Students Team are eligible to sit the test on the new date.

Spring is here

Now that spring has sprung and we have been experiencing warmer weather, our students can now begin to

transition to summer uniform. We provide a window, between now and end of this term where students

can either wear summer or winter uniform. This provides a little flexibility for the students so they are com-

fortable during a period which is often unpredictable in terms of the temperature.

Attendance

It is very important that all students attend school on time every day. Learning instruction and daily infor-

mation is given to students in the morning. If your child does need to have a day off, please ensure that you

justify their absence through a note to the class teacher. For more information, please click on the link

engagement/media/documents/attendance/attendance_parents.pdf

Kindy Transition online?

At this stage, the NSW Department of Education (DoE) has placed face to face Kindy Transitions on hold due

to NSW Health COVID-19 advice. Current advice from the DoE is that “Schools should be planning for a range

of contingencies to allow them to hold off from usual activities supporting transition, to being completely

online.”

We are hoping that COVID-19 restrictions may be revised, and that we will be able to run our Kindergarten

Transition sessions on site in November. However, if restrictions are not lifted, we are planning to provide a

virtual transition program.

We will keep you updated as information come to hand.

Regards,

Mr McTernan

P&C Update

Next P&C Meeting – Monday 21st Sept 7pm via zoom!

Reminder Uniform Shop AGM

A reminder that the Uniform Shop AGM is to be held next Wednesday night at 7pm. To be held via zoom,

please message the Uniform shop or P&C via Facebook for details.

Want to help out the school to make it a better place for our kids?

Consider joining the P&C. Yearly membership costs are 50c. Our next meeting is Monday 21st September

held in the comfort of your own home via zoom. We really need some volunteers to step up and take on

lead roles in the P&C. Without people in these roles we cannot run our services like WOOSHC, Canteen,

Band and the Uniform Shop. Roles vary in hours from a few hours per month to a few hours per week. If

you’re thinking about joining the P&C, we would suggest you attend the meeting on the 21st so you can

learn more about the P&C, what we do and what’s involved. Don’t leave it for someone else to do, chal-

lenge yourself and have something great to add to your resume! Contact us now via Facebook or email

[email protected]. Behind the scenes roles available too!

Qkr! Working well in the canteen and uniform shop!

Qkr!, our new online Canteen and Uniform shop has been up and running for a few months now and we’re

really pleased with how it’s going. The feedback from parents has been Qkr! is easy to use and a big

change from Munch Monitor. With Qkr! there’s no need to load funds in advance it charges your credit

card as you order and its completely fee free to parents! You can also “buy” counter cash which enables

kids to go up to the Canteen and choose something they would like to order up to the value of the counter

cash. Reduces the need for cash handling, no lost coins, and cleaner in COVID times. For those of you yet to

use Qkr! you can either download an app to your phone or use the link https://qkr-store.qkrschool.com/

store/ - /home.
