Railway Town will be celebrating Book Week on Wednesday September 3rd. We will be having a

parade and children are asked to dress-up as a favourite character from a book. Prizes will be

awarded for best costumes. Each year, schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week

celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators. Classroom teachers, teacher librarians

and public librarians develop activities, offer competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to

highlight the importance of reading.

Here are some ideas to help you.
