More than 40,000 people visited the Fashion House on Piazza Liberty, downtown Milan, where five full days were dedicated to the fashion shows and events of Milan Fashion Week open to everyone! Women’s and junior’s fashion shows featured many famous Italian brands. Many celebrity testimonials and guests attended the events.What interested Grazia readers and passers-by most was the nail bar, organized in cooperation with L’Oréal Paris for the launch of their new nail polish. More than 1,100 people stood in line during the five-day fashion fest to have L’Oréal Paris professionals do their nails in one of the five shades “chosen by Grazia” that readers had a chance to “study” on Grazia in the previous weeks. It was a huge success, with lots of visitors and positive comments that reached Grazia editor’s staff.Can’t wait for the next project!

Once again, the Milan Fashion Week has drawn to a close. For Feb 2012 MFW edition, the Grazia.it staff spent five days in a colorful branded pop-up structure in Milan to meet readers and follow all the events in real time through news and social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Grazia.it fashion editors updated the Runway Diary of Grazia.it straight from the catwalk, sharing all the news from stylists and comments from backstage and behind the scenes during these frenetic days. The juiciest tidbits of the Diary came from the tweets of Grazia Italy Editor-in-Chief Vera Montanari from her front-row seat.

During the MFW Grazia.it launched the new It Blogs channel, a network featuring Italy’s top bloggers. Tamu McPherson, Head of Grazia.it, met with them during three meetings to learn how to become the perfect street-style blogger, a skillful beauty blogger, and an excellent food blogger. The bloggers themselves gave us the low-down in the Runway Diary and also through three dynamic video clips.

Paris Fashion week was also full of events. The main one took place in front of Le Jardin des Tuileries on march 5th, during the Chloé show: 6 models were placed in front of the entrance of the garden to hand away some Grazia goodies called “Boites à mode”. Turning it upside down, surprisingly, it said “Grazia”. Posters were hung on poles leading to the entrance of the garden.Grazia France also played up a funny video that showed a compilation of models falling on the catwalk. To live the fashion week with irony!

In its special Fashion issue, Grazia France beat its advertising page record since its launch. In fact, this exceptional issue had more than 140 ad pages out of a total of 340 pages. To celebrate the success of The Big Fashion Issue, Grazia France organized a special “pre-opening” cocktail party with fashion advertisers at Hotel W, which just opened in Paris. Let’s celebrate!

GRaZia Goes liVe!a DaY in The liFe oF GRaZia MaGaZineTo coincide with the start of the London Fashion Week, Jane Bruton, Grazia UK’s Editor in Chief and her team opened the door of “Grazia Towers” and let the video crew film LG Mobile -sponsored documentary tv series dedicated to the making of Big Fashion Issue. The idea was to film each day of the week before the issue was published and to air the Grazia Clips across all Grazia platforms staring from graziadaily.co.uk, to FB page and You Tube channel and Twitter with the hashtag #GraziaGoesLive. A perfect example of social publishing project, Grazia Goes Live gave the readers not only the opportunity to experience behind-the-scenes atmosphere and feel the adrenaline rush of making a weekly, it also got the readers engaged on a deeper level as it allowed the readers to comment, influence and vote on the editorial selection process and even choose the front cover.All the websites from Grazia International web- family supported the project.

cover. This campaign aimed to promote GRAZIA brand through QQ, one of the top 3 portal web in the world, with top 1 visit in China.

Grazia China joined Milan Fashion Week thanks to a special guest: Chinese celebrity Gao Yuanyuan. As the guest editor-in-chief for Grazia, she attended some of the most glamorous fashion shows: Gucci, MaxMara, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce&Gabbana, and Giorgio Armani.She not only watched the shows, but she also interviewed some major designers like Frida Giannini, Gucci’s Creative Director, and posed for an exclusive photo.-shoot in downtown MIlan — so cool!

In 2012 Grazia is celebrating its 5th birthday. As one of numerous events supporting this important milestone, Grazia team organized a 3 days event at the most exclusive new mall in Moscow, Tsvetnoy Central Market, where it recreated an open editorial office with the team doing “live” issue in a large class cube structure. The event was a huge success! Director Alisa Zhidkova. The day ended in casual party open to all Tsvetnoy vistors, a glass of champagne and a groovy set by DJ Alexander Dulshikov. The second day was even more busy with celebrity guest popping by, having shootings and interviews with the team. A big attention from visitors ws drawn by special beauty lounge where Grazia Beauty director Natasha Bogdanevitch and Maybelline’s official make up artist Juri Stoliarov talked about new beauty trends for the forthcoming season. On the third and the last day, the team had a editorial conference meeting followed by the visit of well-known TV presenter Olga Shelest who gave interview and posed for accessories feature. The last appointment of the day was a Bobby Brown’s make up artist Larisa Bragina who shared her tips for the best make up strategies. The day ended with glory - a great party featuring DJ set by Vitaliy Kozak!

The glittering soiree was attended by local fashionistas, socialites and brand. Grazia UAE teamed up with Topshop for their Insider Talks, to celebrate 10 years of supporting British Fashion. For the occasion, the best of London Fashion Week was shown and Grazia Editor-in-Chief Elaine Greenshields joined other guest speakers in keeping attendees up-to-date on all of the latest spring/summer trends. The talks were also timed to coincide with the highly anticipated launch of the Mary Katrantzou for Topshop collection. With members of one of the UAE’s royal family and several of Dubai’s high-profile shoppers visiting the Dubai Mall store, the collection sold out within the hour.This was the second season in a row that Grazia Middle East and Topshop have co-hosted on such an event.

Thanks to the collaboration with Grazia Indonesia, the beauty event with Elizabeth Arden is back!Located at Glow Beauty Living, Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Feeling Pretty with Elizabeth Arden invited Grazia’s readers to get special treatments while shopping at the

Elizabeth Arden counter. A free facial massage was accompanied by a makeup makeover, hairstyling, or eyebrow shaping. Readers also went home with special goody bag filled with shopping vouchers and a mini perfume. Feeling pretty was the buzzword of the day!

Grazia held two movie screenings in February. The first was ATM, a Thai romantic comedy movie, at Blitzmegaplex, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. The movie was entertainingly funny, and responses were very positive from the audience.

The second was our local movie, Republik Twitter, which featured the impact of Twitter on urban society in Indonesia. Held at Cilandak Town Square, Jakarta, the screening was accompanied by the cast of Republik Twitter.

The competition was announced in the February issue of Grazia and to participate, readers had to send their photos to Grazia by email. The editorial staff selected the winner and published her photos on Facebook. The lucky winner will receive style advice from top fashion and beauty experts: Petar Trbović, Grazia Croatia Fashion Editor, will select the winning outfit; stylist Martin Posavec, from Croatia’s famous Ruža Hair Institute, will provide a hairstyle that will flatter her face; Kerastase will give hair products; finally, Ivana Lisak, famous Lancôme makeup artist, will teach how to correctly put on makeup.Results will be covered in the April issue of Grazia — the girls loved it!
