Background to Project

The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) mandate if to facilitate skills development in the Wholesale and Retail sector which requires continuous understanding of the current and future skills needs across the sector .

It is against this background that the W&RSETA seeks to undertake a skills audit to analyse and determine the current and future trends pertaining to skills needs within the sub-sector of the Wholesale and Retail sector.

Project Purpose

The main purpose is to appoint a service provider to conduct a skills audit (analyse and determine)across the sub-sectors of the Wholesale and Retail sector. i.e. Clothing, Hardware, Fuels etc.



Scope of Work

The scope of the project includes but not limited to:

1. Development of the Research methodology; Sampling; Data gathering tool (i.e. questionnaire and interview schedules) and Project execution plan

2. Literature review of the International and national literature; Review current W&R Qualifications; Skills Matrix and Career-Pathing; Review Scarce and Critical skills national list; Review of the OFO code

3. Fieldwork (Data Collection) including: Stakeholder (internal and external) consultations; Field report writing and Administrating questionnaire

4. Present the draft and final report to the W&RSETA stakeholders
